Over 500,000 Black women worked in shipyards factories and government offices during World War II — welding ships building munitions and keeping America running. History called them the Black Rosies.

But they fought two wars at the same time. One against the enemy abroad. And one against racism and discrimination right here at home. They were the last hired. The first fired. And the least celebrated.

This brings deep anger to my heart. I may be taking a break from social media after this. I can’t take this, we can’t do shit man. This place really fucked up. They harm us in every way possible and get away with it.. May Gods raft be upon those who harm and kill our babies, does another person have to die before the world realizes the value of a life and gets an outrage that never dies even if justice is served?!?

Black victims are always put on trial. We can’t walk into a store without being profiled. We can’t simply exist without someone assuming we’re dangerous or gang related.

Cyrus Carmack-Belton did not get justice tonight. Not because Cyrus was guilty, but because of racism. Asians are always seen as the “model minority,” as if they could never commit a violent crime.

And yall on here arguing about stupidity like who pays for a date or who gets to celebrate juneteenth when we should be in an uproar over our babies being unalived with zero accountability. That son LIED on the stand and they got away with unaliving that baby

This verdict made me sick to my stomach.

How in the world does that COWARD get a not guilty verdict after chasing Cyrus Carmack-Belton down like a dog!

I don't care if he had a gun.

They didn't even realize that until THEY chased a frightened FOURTEEN YEAR OLD 130 yards and he fell down running for his life!!!

Over $1 bottle of water, that he told them he didn't have.

And it is a shame that once again, so many of us are not surprised.. That is the saddest part.

All I know is that true justice will be served in the end. God always prevails.

In America, the system treats a water bottle as if it’s worth more than a young Black man’s life. Cyrus Carmack Belton wasn’t even stealing. They killed him anyway, and his killer walks free.
