so in relation to the last post, I figured I would go through and list who all has what kind of link

Object:

Lennart — his pocket watch, now in the possession of Bjorn

Tae-Gyu — his hat, which remains on a mantle in the Field Guild’s headquarters to honor him

Mirei — her mask, which is so much a part of her that she can bring it with her into the shadows, unlike the others

Person:

Alicia — Elena, who doesn’t figure that out until after she already ran away from the Justitia Guild

Place:

Reiji — the Blade Guild’s headquarters

Agnes — her own house

Dong-Wook — his martial arts studio

Jin-Woo:

ChoiBaek. originally, they were actually connected to each other, and they were disappearing so fast because of it that Jin-Woo intervened so they could be together forever (because before one of them was bound to die first and leave the other to slowly fade away)

Antoine. he had no connection originally and chose to join Jin-Woo so he could continue helping people. most of the time he’s actually not with Jin-Woo at all and instead out providing healing for anyone who needs it. he only ever really comes back if Jin-Woo calls him back because he needs a healer for whatever reason

Zhigang. he had no connection and chose to join Jin-Woo just so he could fight to his heart’s content without having to worry about fading away

None:

(most of the ones without a connection chose to join Jin-Woo, but some chose to stay independent)

Kanae. she stayed behind at the Blade Guild’s headquarters with Reiji, even though neither of them can really affect what has happened and is happening because who would listen to the dead? most can’t even see them

Thomas. he wanted to be able to watch over what’s left of the Scavenger Guild without having to rely on Jin-Woo and he has enough mana to do so for now. he and Jin-Woo have agreed for him to join the army if he gets too close to disappearing though

Emma. she chose to stick with Alicia and Elena.

as a side note, those who aren’t connect to the Monarch of Shadows need to expend mana to make themselves fully visible. otherwise, they sort of flit in and out of view. specific people with enhanced senses can see them regardless (Lennart would have been able to, if he was alive), but those are few and far between with all the S-Ranks gone

and for fun, the one’s that were already dead (and aren’t Shadows already):

Christopher would be connected to his football, mostly because I think it’s funny

Gun-Hee would be linked to the KHA headquarters or his wife

Ryuji to his sword

Akari to her sister

Byung-Gu & Eunseok to Yoon-Ho (they would have died before him and when he died they join Jin-Woo to stay with him [Byung-Gu wouldn’t have to fight though he’d be allowed to stay out of it {all of the “diseased” Shadows get special privileges from Jin-Woo lol}])

Il-Hwan to his family. he is technically connected to Jin-Woo but not officially part of the army since he’s also connected to his wife and daughter

plus some alternate versions that I thought of but ultimately scrapped (and why):

Lennart being connected directly to Bjorn (I felt it didn’t fit as well with his “responsibility” thing)

Thomas to the Scavenger Guild headquarters or Laura or the sunglasses he gave her (he’s too independent lol)

if Reiji’s wife was alive I would’ve made him connected to her. the other option was her grave but I felt that was too mean

and for more fun, some of the A-Ranks if we imagine they also died:

Jin-Chul (I actually debated including him to begin with since he’s almost an S-Rank anyway) would be connected to his sunglasses

Can i ask for a Sung Jin-woo x Pregnant reader headcanons?

Jinwoo is over the moon.

All he has ever wanted, the entire reason he had been working so hard, was to have his family back. And now he has a family with you.

Once the initial elation wears off, however, Jinwoo because terrified.

He knows how dangerous the world can be, and that they are never completely safe from a breech or the influence of the dungeons.

His mission in life now is to keep you and his new child safe.

Jinwoo trains harder. Gets the best babyproofing supplies money can buy. Goes to all your doctors appointments. Makes sure you are eating properly.

Though he is extremely doting, it is a bit much.

You have to remind him that you are not made of glass or entirely fragile, and that the baby is indeed fine.

Jinwoo knows this and apologizes often for being so intense, but also reminds you that he is just worried.

Still, he does eventually calm down but still dotes on you & the baby.

Picking out clothes. Painting & decorating the nursery. Choosing a name.

He can't wait to meet his new child and start a new life with the 3 of you. The person that he loves. And the person that their love made.
