Parts you need for installing a Dellorto PHBG Carburetor

Most rad blasty 70cc mopeds either go with a Mikuni VM20, or some sort of Dellorto PHBG.  We are going to list out a few things you will need if you choose to go the Dellorto route.

First you need to figure out if the PHBG is a clamp mount, or a Spigot.  If it is a clamp, it more than likely will just clamp onto your intake.  If your intake is welded steel, you probably will need a spigot mount carburetor.

If you have a spigot mount Dellorto, you will need a rubber coupler to connect the two halves.  The carb to the intake.  We recommend this guy here:

Once you have your carb attached correctly, you are going to make sure it is tuned.  There are a bunch of great articles on Moped Army telling you how to do that.  Check out this one: and this one:.  For the actual parts you need to do the tuning, you will need the following.

5mm Dellorto Main Jet

You will probably need a range of jets to get the right one.  I would go to Garage, and try and find a similar setup to yours, and get some jets around there.  You basically won’t be able to do it with one jet.

The most popular idle jet that people typically use is a #45.

It has been a long time time in coming, but we are so very proud to announce a refresh on 1977mopeds.com.

You may have noticed an uptick in our shipping speeds over these last 6 months.  We have been working really hard to get the logistics ends of things all in order, and to keep up with the amount of support you all throw at us.  

This brought into bright contrast what a difficult web platform we were working with.  There were many reasons we chose it, but like all things it faded with age.

For the last 6 months along with the shipping project, we have been tackling this new site.  Basically ever single aspect of it is better.
