Louis cocked an eyebrow, taking a step closer and raising his chin up to meet his eyes. He was even more disarmingly beautiful from up close, golden flecks in his green, green eyes. But he had spots and blemishes on his nose, so at least he was not perfect. Good, that. 

“You know mate, you might look that you’ve walked straight off the runway but you don’t know shit about actual fashion.”

Louis is ready to live on his own, in a dorm, in a new city. He is ready to make new friends, have fun and study a little. But he is not ready for Harry, his pretentious roommate who is out to ruin Louis’ sleep and make his dorm life a complete hell.

Everything kind of becomes a blur after that. Everyone is jumping and yelling, and hugging? Liam thinks there was a group-hug in there somewhere. Simon said something about putting in a lot of work? He does feel a little bad about not listening to Simon better, but he’s pretty sure he can make an exception this time. Besides, he always works hard. He’s not going to let anything get in the way of achieving his dream, not even the four other boys he’s supposed to rely on now.

(I Don't Know Where It Starts) But It Ends With You and Me

For a summer job, Harry becomes a docent at an art gallery (I have the National Gallery of Art in DC in my head bc it's my favorite, but it can be wherever). He doesn't know anything about art (he's studying finance or something, it doesn't matter). A beautiful boy (Louis) comes in to study a different painting every day of the summer and Harry wants to impress him. Louis is all about his art and doesn't want to be/doesn't have time to be bothered with Harry, he just wants to study his paintings (or sculptures). Louis is also asexual so he's wary about getting into any kind of relationship, but that can kind of take a back seat as to why he doesn't 'encourage' Harry.

I'll leave the rest up to you. Whether or not Harry decides the best way to impress is to learn a lot about art, or take up painting himself, or whatever. Whether or not Louis sees right through him or if he actually believes Harry is a legitimate art enthusiast. Just have fun with it!

At the mention of his name, Niall thought he should contribute to the conversation, even though lately, he’d been wondering if he’d actually find his soulmate, and not in a cynical way.

All he could come up with, though, was, “Yeah, Lou. Uh, definitely…” — Or, the college soulmate AU where the boys aren’t straight, but the rest of their sexualities are still to be determined.

He took him a few tries and a few negative statements before he was informed of a less talked about sexual orientation called asexuality. He had been reading up on it for a while now, reading about experiences of other asexual people as well. He found himself relating to their words, feeling at peace knowing he wasn’t alone in this. His heart felt a little at ease, humming excitedly. 

Or Louis, having realised he is asexual, now wonders how to reveal it to his long-term boyfriend, Harry.
