it just keeps hitting me over and over again. every ten minutes, it’s like a fresh wave. i have no idea what the full scope of this kind of pain must feel like. i just know it’s relentless. and i hope there’s a day when it ebbs a little bit for them. and the waves don’t come as frequently or as strongly. i hope at least that if they do, the water is warm and the memories are painless.
