He had lost everything when the world knew the sorts of things he was capable of doing. He frowned bitterly at the world, somewhere along the line he had fucked up...he knew where, he had underestimated his quarry. Anna Arendelle had friends in high places, higher than him. He had moved to quickly and impatiently, he had gotten tired of waiting but good things only came to those who waited. It was a sad fact but it was true.
He waited alone on the boathouse at Hogwarts for the night to fall. When the night fell he would escape without the glares from people who had once adored him. He sat there disgusted, it was a hard thing to be cast down from the top, it really was...
Suddenly he was holding a pitcher of water, standing in front of three fire places all of them alight but the flames were different colours. There was a red flame, a blue flame and a yellow flame, it was quite peculiar.
“Hans Fontana,” said a powerful sounding voice from behind him, he turned to see a woman with a bow in her hair...made out of hair, wearing a dress that appeared to be made of meat. She rolled her eyes at him and said in a bored way, “my name is Margo, I’m a dimensional goddess and you aren’t initially from this world, I took you and all of your friends and dumped them in this hell hole because I was bored.” She took a breath, “I am so fucking over these I’ve had to see so many of you lately, here’s your memories back...”
Hans stumbled back, the water sloshed in the pitcher, he remembered it, al of it...he remembered that he had failed there too at the hands of that ginger Arendelle princess. It was more than he could bare.
“See those fine fires over there? If you dump your water on the blue one, you go back to your old life with no memories of this one, dump in on the red one and you go back to Hogwarts with no memories of your old life, choose the yellow one and you keep both sets of memories but don’t get to know where you’ll go...”
He wanted a chance to start over, completely, knowing what he knew so he could undo his mistakes. With very little hesitation he walked up to the yellow fire and dumped his pitcher on it...
