Hey all! It has been nearly a year since I've been absent from tumblr, and likewise almost a year since I have last updated you on Mona and her team's mutual aid inititatives. In that time, Mona's efforts have managed to keep entire communities of displaced people alive in the refugee encampments in Ghazzah, including through the distribution of staple foods, fresh fruits and vegetables, cooked meals, clean children's clothing, diapers, baby formula, and so much more. Please continue to support Mona's efforts through the new link on Chuffed. Remember! Every single dollar counts!!! Chuffed donation link.
For more information, please consult her Instagram!
If you also have more to spare, please help Mona support her sister and niece who have been displaced 6 times over the course of the accelerated genocide.
None of this is possible without Mona and her family's diligence and work. If you would like to send her a thank you note or well wishes, please include it in the replies to this post, in your tags, or in the comments! She always appreciates them ♡
CRITICAL EMERGENCY: CHILD IN COMA
6-year-old Souad has been anemic since birth, and starvation and disease due to the IOF assault have caused her severe health complications.
Today she fell unconscious and was admitted to the hospital. She is now comatose and fluid is building up around her brain. Their campaign has made very little progress since it was created, and they urgently need funds for her treatment. We have set a short-term goal:
€776 out of €1,276 EUR
Need to raise: €500 EUR (about $580 usd)
I am Alaa Al-Hanjouri, 32 years old. I used to work as a teacher, teaching children and carrying their dreams on my shoulders... but the war
On the subject of vetting: verified by Yahya Al-Habil and family, Souad’s father Alaa Hanjouri is Yahya’s cousin. Yahya’s family’s campaign has been shared by 90-ghost, @gaza-evacuation-funds here, and vouched for by relatives Ayah Mohammed and Noha Ibrahim, whose campaigns are vetted on nabulsi and el-shab-hussein’s verified campaign master list. I am confident that Souad’s need is both legitimate and dire.
**reminder that $1 usd = about €0.86 EUR. For example, $25 usd = about €22 EUR. Currency converters are available online for free so you can calculate the equivalent amount of dollars you want to send**
📢 URGENT CALL FOR HELP: LGBTQ+ Refugees Stranded in Gorom Camp, South Sudan 🆘
My name is Kylanabs, and I am a leader of the LGBTQ+ community in Gorom Refugee Camp, South Sudan. Today, I speak to the world with a heavy heart, on behalf of many LGBTQ+ refugees who are suffering in silence, pain, and fear.
We came to this camp seeking safety — fleeing violence, persecution, and discrimination in our home countries simply because of who we are and who we love. But instead of finding peace, we are now trapped in a dire humanitarian crisis.
🔴 We are starving.
There is not enough food to go around. Many go to sleep hungry, and some have gone days without a proper meal.
🔴 We are sick.
There is no access to proper medical care, and our physical and mental health is deteriorating. Illness spreads quickly in these conditions, and we have no support.
🔴 We are exposed.
Shelter is minimal, especially for those of us who face additional risks because of our gender identity or sexual orientation. The rainy season has made life worse, and many of us are sleeping in the open.
🔴 We are forgotten.
Being LGBTQ+ in a refugee camp adds another layer of vulnerability. We face discrimination, isolation, and often exclusion from services. We are alone. But we are still here — still human, still hoping.
🌍 This is a call to anyone, anywhere who believes in human rights, dignity, and compassion. We need your help. Whether you are an individual, an NGO, a humanitarian organization, a donor, or an ally — please hear our cry.
🤝 How you can help:
Connect us with organizations or individuals who can provide support (food, medication, shelter, legal aid, relocation).
Share this message widely. The more people who know, the more hope we have.
If you are part of an LGBTQ+ organization, church, or advocacy group — please reach out. We need solidarity now more than ever.
We are not asking for luxury — just the chance to live with dignity and safety.
We are not just statistics.
We are human beings.
We are your brothers, sisters, and siblings.
And right now, we are in danger.
📩 Please contact me directly if you or your organization is willing to help or connect us to those who can.

Nova Scotia passes law to remove Mi’kmaw land protectors
The NS government just passed a bill called "Protecting Nova Scotians Act" so they can "legally" remove the Mi'kmaw land protectors on Hunter's Mountain to "to protect Nova Scotians utilizing wood resources". Land protectors who refuse to leave the mountain could face up to a $50,000 fine and/or six months in jail!
This is a huge violation of my people's rights and I would like to encourage every Nova Scotian to please make as much a fuss about this as possible. And to every Canadian and person abroad, please continue to pay close attention to this struggle. We are about to see so much police brutality increase, I feel it.
Gaslighting of impressive proportions coming from the minister responsible for L’nu Affairs (who is meant to coordinate Mi'kmaq and government consultation — which was entirely circumvented this time around), Leah Martin:
(source)
This is an egregious, unconstitutional and blatant violation of Treaty Rights, and the framing of this legislation as part of a package in service of "protecting Nova Scotians" is unacceptable.
If you are a resident of Nova Scotia, this is the time to support the Sipekne’katik First Nation’s call for Leah Martin’s immediate resignation, and to apply pressure on the provincial legislature. Contact your member of the Legislative Assembly (Don't know who that is? Find out here.)
The reason this bill was able to be passed in the first place was Tim Houston’s Progressive Conservative Party running the shortest fall session of the legislature since 1986 (8 days!!!) and packing these amendments into omnibus bills covering a collection of unrelated matters from enforcing criminal record checks for bar bouncers to addressing housing concerns for victims of domestic violence to… this. Yes, all of these amendments are in one bill. Yes, they're trying to confuse the issue on purpose.
Their strategy is to ram this legislation through without giving the opposition and public time to put forward meaningful resistance, let alone get public attention on the subject. And this will keep getting worse if Nova Scotians allow them to get away with it. Do not let them. Keep your eyes on Unama'ki. Be loud, be disruptive & stand in solidarity with L'nu defenders.
I'm bringing you an investment opportunity in Gaza for just $10.
$10! Yes, only $10.
For Ahmed, a student from Gaza, $10 was enough to restore hope for himself and his family, imagine that.
He was displaced from northern Gaza, and the displacement was enough to justify him stopping his studies. When he returned from the displacement, he found his house destroyed and his friends martyred. He promised his mother and father that he would rebuild their home and provide for his family after the occupation bombed his father's workplace.
Ahmed didn't give up and kept trying to continue his education.
A $10 donation, a simple gesture for you, the price of a juice or coffee, but for us in Gaza, we were able to restore hope to Ahmed and his family with this amount.
With $10, you won't just be helping a student, but an entire family whose dreams are hanging on their son, who promised to rebuild their home.
So, let's ask ourselves:
How many like Ahmed are still in Gaza that we haven't been able to reach?
Did you know that there are 90,000 university students, and these university students are supposed to be the breadwinners for their families in light of the difficult situation?
90,000 students and future heads of families have lost their places in education and lost hope of having a decent life in this country.
Support a student today so that he can support his family and his country. Invest $10, be a part of rebuilding Gaza.
Campaign donation link or PAYPAL
The student is waiting for you... don't let him down.
We are trying to save up for next month's rent which is $2000 $5000/$7000 now

reminder that gazafunds is a great website.
each time you load the site, it shows one randomly selected, verified fundraiser that's low on funds.
extremely straightforward, & an easy to remember url. it's my go-to when I'm able to give; removes any room for procrastination or overthinking.

Go to paypal.me/bushrabo and type in the amount. Since it’s PayPal, it's easy and secure. Don’t have a PayPal account? No worries.
Almost there’s no donations 😭💔
My brother needs 700$ to buy tent 😞
We may not be able to convey the truth of the genocide in the days to come.
I hope everyone who sees this will share it as widely as possible.

Thank you!
The IDF since a week ago didn’t stop destroying any buildings in my neighborhood and now they are going to destroy the remains of our building.
And our neighborhood full of displaced families living in tents they now going to lose their tents
I’m so worried about my brother 💔😞
He doesn’t want to live in a tent again and if he wants to move to the south he needs more than 2000$ to buy tent and for transportation plus to find a place 😭💔
I wonder when all of this going to end 😞💔
This picture my brother took it from our building

The situation is very bad my brother stuck he didn’t find any transportation because it cost more than 1000$ plus he doesn’t have a tent
people are crowded on the way to the south my brother told me he will stay where he is now in gaza city 💔
UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA): As airstrikes continue on Gaza City, vital aid is being prevented from entering.
UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA): Israeli forces prevented us from delivering aid to Gaza City today.
Can you imagine how bad is the situation right now
What they want ? Why they keep targeting innocent people? There’s nothing still in gaza city they wiped it
I wish i could take my brother out i feel like I let him down in every way .. being not able to do anything makes me feel i’m a bad brother 💔
