📢 URGENT CALL FOR HELP: LGBTQ+ Refugees Stranded in Gorom Camp, South Sudan 🆘

My name is Kylanabs, and I am a leader of the LGBTQ+ community in Gorom Refugee Camp, South Sudan. Today, I speak to the world with a heavy heart, on behalf of many LGBTQ+ refugees who are suffering in silence, pain, and fear.

We came to this camp seeking safety — fleeing violence, persecution, and discrimination in our home countries simply because of who we are and who we love. But instead of finding peace, we are now trapped in a dire humanitarian crisis.

🔴 We are starving.

There is not enough food to go around. Many go to sleep hungry, and some have gone days without a proper meal.

🔴 We are sick.

There is no access to proper medical care, and our physical and mental health is deteriorating. Illness spreads quickly in these conditions, and we have no support.

🔴 We are exposed.

Shelter is minimal, especially for those of us who face additional risks because of our gender identity or sexual orientation. The rainy season has made life worse, and many of us are sleeping in the open.

🔴 We are forgotten.

Being LGBTQ+ in a refugee camp adds another layer of vulnerability. We face discrimination, isolation, and often exclusion from services. We are alone. But we are still here — still human, still hoping.

🌍 This is a call to anyone, anywhere who believes in human rights, dignity, and compassion. We need your help. Whether you are an individual, an NGO, a humanitarian organization, a donor, or an ally — please hear our cry.

LGBT Sudanese refugees are being chase out of their camp by bigots

Magala Muhshin and her group, @kythzanda, are being harrassed and chased by police in Gorom refugee camp. they fought hard to secure a parcel of land in the camp that they could build on for the 60+ people in their group, but since they cannot get jobs due to the incessant harrassment of them due to being LGBT, they rely entirely on the campaign. this means building has been nearly impossible for them of late, as an attack drained all of their funds via hospital bills. even now, two children are in the hospital suffering.

right now, they need at least $500, with the goal being $1000 within the next 2 days, to show that they are building to force the police to not take the land away from them.

please donate if you can, and if you can't, a reblog can do so much. if this can just reach people, and continue to be seen, then that would do so much.

we couldn't make the money, kyth didn't survive. we need to raise funds so magala can pay the hospital for mortuary fees, get a coffin, and transport her body. needless to say we are all extremely upset, magala most of all. i don't want to explain about how she sounded when she cried to me, but i don't know what else will offer proof of how much suffering this is causing... please reblog, please help us. this was likely murder. one of our transgender siblings was likely murdered, and poisoned. someone i knew and who cared for me, someone i care for. now our sister is mourning more than i have heard her mourn before. if you can reblog, please do.

Magala and some of the other transgender campmates applied to rainbow railroad a while ago, and as of now, they have a month before they're going to be taken to canada!!!!!!!! this is AMAZING NEWS!!! i've been smiling nonstop since being told, all we have to do is get them through this month. please keep supporting her!! we'll still need to help the rest of the camp once she goes to canada, but they have also applied to rainbow railroad, and godwilling, all of them can get to safety!!!

Right now, a tiny newborn baby is lying in the hospital, fighting for life. 💔 This child came into the world already carrying so much pain — too weak, too fragile, yet still holding on. We stand by helpless, watching the smallest heartbeat struggle against the weight of sickness and poverty.

No baby deserves to suffer like this. Every cry feels like a plea for mercy, for care, for hope. But without help, we cannot give this little one the chance to live.

Our hearts are breaking. Right now we are watching two innocent lives suffer in the hospital.

A tiny newborn baby is lying in pain, struggling just to survive. Beside this, another young soul is fighting stomach cancer, every day weaker, but still holding onto life. It is unbearable to see them like this and to know that love alone is not enough — they need treatment, they need medicine, they need help.

We feel powerless because hospital bills stand like a wall between life and death. These are children, they deserve a chance. No baby should suffer like this. No one should battle cancer alone.

These images are a painful reminder of the brutal attack on us, where lives were shattered, and one of our dearest friends lost their life. The scars we carry are not just physical but emotional too. Our brothers and sisters are fighting for their lives in the hospital. Among them, one needs urgent surgery for a head injury, with medical costs amounting to $800.

We come to you today with heavy hearts. As a transgender community living in Gorom Refugee Camp, we have faced another deep wound one of our beloved brothers was attacked last week and sadly lost his life. Today, we gather in prayer, in tears, and in strength.

We are praying not only for him, but for every one of us who continues to live in fear, in pain, and in the shadow of violence. But even in the darkness, we choose to stand strong together.

We speak to each other with love and courage, reminding ourselves that we are not alone, and that our lives matter. We are asking God to give us strength, protection, and peace — and to help us stay united through every struggle.

hi all, magala managed to get home for some rest, and replace her broken phone thanks to your help. however, at camp their shelter is leaking rainwater, and they need to replace it; magala also needs money for doctor's visits for her condition to keep it from getting worse, and most pressingly of all, they have no money for food. donations have been very slow and i need everyone's help!! please keep sharing!!!
