Iran and Israel are at war now and this war has diverted attention from Gaza and the massacres happening there. Gaza is still suffering. In fact, it is getting worse every day and all the news is about the Iran and Israel war. Gaza is no longer important, it no longer exists. I ask myself, are we human beings like you or are you different from us? Why is this? Why are we no longer important? You share sports and funny things but do not share posts of people whose children are dying in front of their eyes. Tumblr users make me feel that you will never forget us and will stand with us by donating to my family who lives a life full of so much pain and share so it reaches those who can contribute to the donation. Thank you to all the countries and all the people who donated to me so that my family and I can live a simple life and escape death, hunger and fear. Don't forget the pride month so you must be good for this month.

great question. while a lot of these gofundmes started to fund evacuations, since the border will not open they have shifted to covering the costs of daily survival in gaza
the cost of food alone in gaza right now has been reported by journalists on the ground (including @siraj2024) to be 20 times the normal price.
and it varies based on location. the north is currently being starved by the IOF so food prices are higher
and there is a lot of evidence on tumblr that proves that these fundraisers do help
@ma7moudgaza2 was able to buy a tent for his family and is currently trying to pay for a solar panel
@siraj2024 was able to secure rent for a (bombed out, but still) apartment for his family over the winter
@mohdiwais was able to fund medical care for his sister after she was shot by the IOF using funds he raised on tumblr
a gaza-based charity called care for gaza has also been directly assisting families with funds used from their gofundme. they even post videos of themselves giving out food

personally, i use crutches and a power wheelchair part time. my friend Munis Qudaih normally uses a power wheelchair and a scooter, but his power chair was damaged months ago by an israeli attack. he is from Khan Younis, in Gaza, but his family has been forced to move over five times in the past year.
he is forced to survive this genocide without proper mobility aids to enable his freedom of movement and keep him safe in a rapidly changing, dangerous landscape of rubble and explosions from israeli attacks. i talked with him today (10/28/24) -- here are a few of his words:
"Thank God, I am fine, my health is good, but I get very tired from moving around in a worn-out wheelchair."
Munis has been raising money since April 2024 to replace his power wheelchair and rebuild his family's house, which was destroyed by israel. he has only received £3,536 of his £10,000 goal more than 6 months later.
please help me share and fulfill Munis's fundraising campaign! he would like to provide regular updates on life in Gaza, which i will share here.

I am Heba Al-Dahdouh. I currently live in the completely destroyed city of Gaza. Since the war on Gaza began on 7/1/2024, my family—my father Nasif, my mother Asmaa, and my siblings Khaled, Ahmad, Muhammad, and Malak—have been living in constant fear, crying, and suffering due to shrapnel, shells, and bullets.
We have no food, no electricity, no cooking gas, no schools, no homes, no cleaning supplies, and no clothes. Our house was completely destroyed. My school has been bombed, and my brother Khaled's university is now rubble, depriving us all of education. The war has forced us to live in displacement centers, which are just tents unsuitable for living, especially in winter.
Every day we live death, terror, and panic a thousand times because of the ongoing bombardment of my city. The war has killed more than 50 of my relatives and neighbors. At the start of the war, we sought refuge at my aunt's house, but it too became rubble. Imagine: we have survived imminent death more than 20 times and have been displaced among shelters more than 13 times. My siblings and I have suffered from many illnesses due to malnutrition, and we need medication continuously.
