Poem: Paths Ever Mounting

Lifting eyes upon the hills -

Where the shining mist, descending

By hollows worn through ancient slopes,

Concealing not, yea revealing

Paths that lead, ever-mounting,

Past the faded mortal lanes,

To gates of realms with light unfailing -

Wiping the sweat from mortal brow,

Breathes that air and stands erect,

With hope renewed, now travels on.
