A Year of Gratitude & Happiness

Have you ever been in an interview, and they asked, "Where will you be in 5 years?" Five years ago, my answer would not be the life I'm living today. It's been five years of challenges and opportunities, sadness and laughs, adventures and solitude...but it has also lead to extreme gratitude to friends and family and trying to decipher what is important in life. And once you have gratitude, happiness always follows! I've never done 365 days of anything...except maybe sleep. Seriously, I don't even know if I've brushed my teeth every single day! So, this is a years worth of photos representing things that make me grateful and happy. Always to include an adventure and some food. Also highly likely to include photos of my pups, booze, airplanes, good food bad hotels and bestest of friends and family! Enjoy!

August 29 - Grateful for beautiful sunsets! Even though I have a long commute, I'm lucky to have an incredible view for the 2 hours it takes me to go 19 miles.

August 27: Are you ready for some football? Happiness is being apart of this Fantasy League for 7 years!

August 26: Grateful to finally have a girls weekend with these 2! It only took us 3 years to get another one on the calendar and it did not disappoint! Cocktails, laughing and food pretty much sum up the last 24 hours.

August 25: Happiness is margaritas...and a night out with my fiancé!

August 23 & 24: I've never doubled up on days, but I'm grateful for the same thing: Amazing girlfriends who are seriously so happy for you and can't wait to celebrate that we have to split it over 2 days so no one is missed!

August 22: Happiness is coming home after a week away! It's even better when you come home to a clean house because you have the best cleaning lady ever!!

August 21: Fiancé (that's fun to say) is not feeling so hot after a bottle or so of Mexico's finest red wine! So, I'm grateful for amazing room service while I try to nurse his back to health from a hotel with toast and chicken noodle soup.

August 20: Where to start when reflecting on the most perfect day? Today, I'm so excited to rename my favorite human to fiancé! There are a million emotions running through me, but grateful and happy to find unconditional love again sums it up! Thank you for loving me and letting me be me! Can't wait to start the rest of our lives together!

August 19: Happiness is getting up at 3:45am to land in Cabo for this view! We'll be relaxing and vacationing here for the next few days!

August 18: Happiness is enjoying a rainy day. Sometimes the weather doesn't cooperate when on vacation...but that just means you get to have new adventures! A day full of ice cream and wine will always lead to an evening of more wine, shenanigans and memories!

August 17: Grateful to be able to spend time with my favorite human's family. Happiness is spending the day soaking up the sunshine while cheering on his 72 yr old mom as she swims a mile! Ending the day with popcorn and board games is perfection!

August 16: Happiness is peacefulness! There is no better place to slow down and enjoy the simple pleasures in life than at Babcock Lake. Will be enjoying the limited cell service here for the next few days!

August 15: Happiness is getting to enjoy a little touristy activities in Dallas! We were able to catch a Rangers game this evening…and frito pie was on the menu!

August 14: I'm not sure which makes me happier - traveling again, eating Texas BBQ or meeting up with a colleague from Yahoo at the hotel bar who I haven't seen in over 8 years!

August 13: Grateful to be having manageable back pain, which means I get to travel again! Happiness is getting back into routines of prepping for work travel...and getting ready for a mini vacation afterwards!

August 12: Happiness is celebrating a good friends 40th birthday!

August 11: Happiness is low key Friday nights with friends and wine. And if a few packages of Oreos show up, that just makes the night even better!
