Cannot but agree…
Everybody wanna be a kanaka but nobody wanna be a kanaka.
@ all the non-Hawaiians who wanna go Kamehameha schools and want Hawaiian homestead land but ignore the oppression that brought the need for these things
Lmao they walked right into that one. So they aren’t dumb they just racist and act like they don’t realize that black people are under attack. They just don’t care
^^^^^ exactly. They were never ignorant. They just don’t care.
Exactly!! Someone gets it!! It’s not they don’t know, can’t see, or just ignorance.. THEY JUST FONT GIVE A FUCK!! Stop trying to save a mind that clearly understands what’s happening.. It’s chosen its position fully aware…
Rest in peace Aiyana
She would have been 14 years old tomorrow (20th of July). She was seven when she was killed by the police. She was shot in the neck whilst sleeping during the police raiding her house.
“I guess cuz I'm black born, I'm supposed to say peace, sing songs, and get capped on.”
Six days after the Aug. 10 shooting death of Michael Brown, an 18-year-old college-bound kid who was killed by a police officer in Ferguson, Missouri, rapper J. Cole released his emotional tribute song "Be Free." For many hip-hop fans it was a rare moment of socially conscious protest in this Instagram selfie era that has seen Rick Ross use the tragic murder of Florida teen Trayvon Martin as a lyrical punchline and "Anaconda" queen Nicki Minaj face widespread rebuke for including an iconic "By Any Means Necessary" photo of outspoken '60s freedom fighter Malcolm X for the cover of her underground track "Lookin' Ass Nigga." Since Cole's statement, a number of acts from T.I. ("New National Anthem") and Lauryn Hill ("Black Rage") have stepped up to the plate to speak on the issue of police brutality, economic disparity, and rage that has engulfed Ferguson following days of protests and rioting. But as the dead prez song goes, it's bigger than hip-hop. VIBE has compiled 11 protest songs
In the wake of the Ferguson riots, we've compiled a list of our top 25 Hip-Hop protest songs past & present.

White ppl: if u just comply with the cops u won't have to worry about getting shot.
Me: Shows them the video of Charles Kinsey (a black male, laying down on the ground with his hands in the air, stating that he nor his autistic patient are weaponized) getting shot.
White ppl: Umm . . . well . . . his hands aren't perfectly straight up in the air . . . the police couldn't have been sure obviously . . . why are u making everything a race issue?!

Bless you women, seriously. I have a White male co-worker who I’m close to murdering because he’s such an “ally” that he’s started to think he’s Native. He talks over me. He tries to do *my* job at work. And he thinks he gets to ironically wear a Cleveland Indians hat. I cannot take it anymore.
