He was doing things like that a lot lately: he was always touching you, taking you out to dinners and buying you gifts among other things. He was acting a lot like your boyfriend.

The deep voice rang out from behind the gang of thugs. You could identify the outline of a well-dressed man and the addition of a few more men.
“Back off,” the knife-wielding thug hissed. “We found her first, this one belongs to me.”
The man curiously tilted his head to the side, as if contemplating the situation.
“Hmm… see, that’s where you’re wrong. Because everything in this city belongs to me.”
With one raise of the man’s hand, your assailants crumpled to the ground, the echoes of gunshots still ringing in your ears.

Which was why he was the last person you expected to be your saviour.
Taehyung had cautiously approached you after all the thugs had been gunned down. You flinched when you felt him move to brush some of the hair out of your face. He ignored it and tilted your chin upward so he could look you in the eye.
As one of his large hands cupped your face, you could feel a sense of warmth radiating from him.
Maybe that’s why you allowed Taehyung to take you back to his home afterwards. He took good care of you, making sure your injuries were treated and that you were cleaned up. Using your injuries as an excuse, he wanted to keep you with him for a few days to make sure you were okay.
A few days turned into a few weeks.
The two of you spent nearly everyday together. When he wasn’t out of the house doing business, he was working quietly in his study. Taehyung often requested that you join him during those times. The man standing behind you was slicing your bare skin with his selection of daggers as another man in front of you did the interrogation.
When you had gotten involved with Jung Hoseok, he was just a charismatic man that you happened to fall in love with. You had no idea he was a dangerous mafia don until you got caught in the middle of a turf war.
“Don’t lie to me! I know you’re the bitch that keeps his bed warm. He must have told you something!” A sharp slap echoed through the warehouse and you could feel the painful sting of his hand against your cheek.
“P-please…”
“Pathetic,” your interrogator spit at your feet. “You really don’t know anything, you useless bitch. If that’s the case, why not let my men have a little fun with you before returning you to your deadbeat lover?”
The implication of his threat scared you far more than any physical abuse you had already endured. Even if you came out of this alive, you weren’t so sure you would have the will to leave.
But before either man could make another move, they both dropped to the floor, blood oozing from the bullet wounds in their foreheads.
“Y/N! Where are you hurt?” In an instant, Hoseok was in front of you. His hands were hovering but never touching you. You could read the flurry of emotions in his eyes: anger, concern, sadness…
And love.

It had taken a lot of time for you to recover from the trauma of the incident. If people knew the truth, they probably would have thought you were crazy for staying with a man like Jung Hoseok.
But the truth was, you were irrevocably in love with Hoseok and he was your saviour. He proved that even in your darkest times, he would be there for you. No, he wasn’t dangerous at all. With him, you were the safest.
“Alright, enough! No more play time, the baby needs to pee.”
Hoseok pouted but helped you sit up anyway. You were only three weeks away from your due date and your bloated self had trouble moving around.
Cupping your face gently between his hands, Hoseok began to leave a trail of light kisses down your face starting with your forehead. When he reached your lips, his kiss was slow and languid. He took his time in exploring the depths of your mouth before slowly pulling away.
“Hmmm… I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of kissing you, Y/N.”
You couldn’t help the blush that came across your face. Kissing Hoseok just did things to you, especially with all those pregnancy hormones.
“Don’t start something we can’t finish, Jung.” You scolded. “I’m going to the bathroom now to get ready. Considering the ruckus downstairs, your men better have breakfast ready by the time I’m finished.”

Park Jimin
You knew Jimin missed flying.
They used to call him Falcon which you always found fitting because Jimin belonged in the air.
But he hadn’t been the same since his wing-man had died and chose to retire from the United States Air Force. He was passionate about his cause to help veterans with PTSD but you knew he missed being in the action more.
And when he met Captain America, it was like watching a rebirth and Jimin seemed to have found a purpose again. So despite all the precarious situations Jimin seemed to find himself in fighting alongside the country’s most well-known superheroes, you supported him fullheartedly.
“I still think I should be wearing a helmet for this,” you teased as Jimin wrapped his arms tightly around your waist.
“Tony Stark designed these new wings himself, Y/N. I doubt they’re going to be faulty. Besides, would I let you fall?” Jimin looked down at you with a fond smile.
“Too late, I’ve already fallen for you.”
“Ugh, Y/N! So cheesy!”
“That’s part of my charm. At least give me a good luck kiss before take-off?”
“That I can do,” Jimin grinned before leaning down for a kiss that was much longer than necessary.
Kim Taehyung
Judging by the smirk on his face, you could tell that Taehyung was totally expecting you to fail.
Adjusting to life after an Asgardian quite literally fell into your lap had taken a bit of time. But Taehyung’s naive curiosity and romantic persistence eventually opened up your heart and that’s how you found yourself in love with an actual god.
The two of you, however, were currently at an impasse and there was only one way you could think of to convince Taehyung that you were right.
That damned hammer.
You knew that only those worthy would be able to lift the hammer but what actually constituted a person as worthy?
“Alright,” you took a deep breath. “If I can lift this hammer, we are not having a big wedding. I don’t care if you’re the future king, we do not need to invite the entirety of Asgard to our ceremony. Close friends and family only.”

“Fine. But if you can’t lift the hammer, I get to plan the entire wedding.”
It was your turn to smirk as your fiancé, the God of Thunder, fell right into your trap. Wrapping a hand around the handle of Mjölnir, you felt the hum of the hammer flow up your arm and through your body as you lifted the hammer with ease.

Okay, so maybe taking a shortcut down a dark alley on your way home wasn’t a smart decision. You were sincerely regretting it now. A shiver ran down your spine and you could swear there was someone watching you.
Suddenly, a face appeared in front of you and you shrieked as if your life depended on it.
“Y/N! It’s just me! Please stop screaming!”
“Jungkook!” You glared at your boyfriend as he hung upside down from a delicate thread of web. “How many times do I have to tell you not scare me like that?”
“Sorry, I didn’t mean to. I just remembered that you said you were working a late shift tonight and I wanted to make sure you got home safe.”
Your heart melted at how unintentionally sweet Jungkook could be sometimes. He definitely seemed to have an outdated sense of chivalry and duty but maybe that’s just what came with the whole superhero thing. It also made it really hard to stay mad at him.
“I guess you’re forgiven this time,” you said as you leaned forward to capture your (still upside down) boyfriend’s lips in a kiss.
After the two of you broke apart, a wide smile stretched across Jungkook’s face.
“So, do you want me to give you a lift home?” Jungkook asked, gesturing to his web-shooters.
“Absolutely not. The last time we did that, I almost puked.”

“Seriously, Jin?”
Your fiancé had tried to sneak in through the direct entrance to his lab at Kim Tower but you were already there waiting for him. With one hand on your hip, you raised an eyebrow in question at the love of your life while still waiting for an answer.
“Y/N, listen - I finally enhanced the aerodynamics on my suit for thirty-eight percent more efficiency. Not that there was any doubt that it wouldn’t work, I’m a genius after all.”
You were clearly not amused judging by the expression on your face.
“Jarvis, back me up here.”
“Jarvis can’t back you up here. You promised you wouldn’t be late this year, Jin. It’s your own freaking holiday party for crying out loud!”
“Ah, indeed it is. I should get a free pass since I own Kim Industries, right?” Jin gave you a sly smirk as he walked up to you. Using both hands, he grabbed you by the hips and pulled you in for a searing kiss. “Did I mention you look absolutely stunning tonight, Y/N?”
“Just get dressed, Jin. In a regular suit that normal people wear. I don’t even want to hear you mention Iron Man for the rest of the night.” Your tone was stern but the blush on your cheeks gave you away.
“Your wish is my command, Y/N.” Jin shot you a quick wink and flying kiss as he walked away.
Min Yoongi
“I think this will be my best story yet. Already fourteen women have come forward with accusations and four of them have agreed to do an exclusive interview with me… Yoongi? Are you even listening?”
You looked back at your boyfriend who had stopped in his tracks.
It wasn’t easy to spend time together with your boyfriend. Both of you were investigative journalists at the same newspaper company where you two met. You were career driven and often spent long hours at the office. As for your boyfriend, however…
Min Yoongi just so happened to be a superhero. But not just any superhero – Superman. His efforts were divided between his job at the paper, protecting his identity and saving the world.
This was the first time in nearly a week that the two of you had time to see each other.
“I’m so sorry, Y/N. I have to go. I can hear someone calling out for help.”
These sorts of things happened quite frequently but you never faulted Yoongi for it. He was given great powers and chose to do good with them. You leaned forward to give him a soft kiss goodbye.
“I understand, you don’t need to explain.” You assured him before promptly holding out your hand. Yoongi gave you a questioning look. “Your glasses, Yoongi. Can’t have you exposing your identity now, can we?”
A wide gummy smile stretched across Yoongi’s lips as he leaned forward for one more quick kiss.
“This is why I love you, Y/N.” A few moments later, the all-too familiar expressions were heard all around you.
“Is that a bird?”
“Is that a plane?”
“No, it’s Superman!”
Jung Hoseok
“All I’m saying is that I would appreciate it if you cleaned up a bit more around the house.”
“Really? Do you really think this is the right time to talk about my hygiene habits? Duck.”
Hoseok did as he was told, crouching low to the ground which allowed you to land a solid punch to the henchman’s face.
“Well, I knew you’d react like this so I figured it was as good of a time as any. To your left.”
You dodged a hit just in time as Hoseok sent the villain flying into the wall with a well-aimed kick. With a few more well-placed hits and kicks, all the henchmen were officially knocked out.
“You knew I’d react like this? Just for that, you can round up all these losers for the police. I’ll go defuse the bomb.”
Hoseok tried to grab your wrist but your hyper-elasticity allowed you to continue walking away.
“Oh, come on, Y/N! I’m sorry, I really didn’t mean that. Don’t walk away from me,” he pouted. You were a sucker for Hoseok’s pout and he knew it. Deciding that you had given him a hard-enough time, you walked back to him. Wrapping your arms around his neck, you pulled him in for kiss.
“We make an incredible team, don’t you think?” Hoseok beamed afterwards, arms still wrapped tightly around your waist. You laughed openly at his attempt to be funny.
“Even when I don’t clean up around the house?” You teased.
“Well, all superheroes have a weakness. Yours just happens to be household chores.”
You punched him in the arm for that one. Hoseok apologized by peppering kisses all over your face.
“Okay, okay!” You laughed. “I’ll forgive you this time. But seriously, you have to let me go now or that bomb’s going to detonate.”
“Oh, right. We should probably take care of that. Man, you’re so hot when you get down to business.”
You threw a coy look over your shoulder just to get a laugh out of Hoseok.
“Just for you, Mr. Incredible.”
Kim Namjoon
“So, let me get this straight. After losing your ability to perform surgeries, you decided to go out on a limb and trusted some whacko that said he used magic to get back the use of his arms and legs. You somehow trained to become sort of sorcerer where you fought the ruler of an alternate dimension which is how you ended up on my surgical table half-dead. Now the world is at peace again and you’ve taken up a new profession as this Sorcerer Supreme or whatever.”
Namjoon nods along as you summarize everything that he just told you.
“And now you want to get back together?”
Namjoon nods again, directing a hopeful look at you.
“Kim Namjoon, are you freaking kidding me?!” You explode, slamming both hands on the table. Startled, Namjoon nearly falls out of his seat.
“I cannot believe what I’m hearing right now. You showed up nearly dead and then disappeared again for weeks. Do you know how worried I was about you?”
‘Y/N, please, I…”
“And now, you show up on my front door and have the nerve to ask me if we can get back together? Are you sure you graduated from med school?”
“So, I take it that’s a no…?”
You reached across the table to grab Namjoon by the collar of his shirt, slightly pulling him out of his seat. Closing your eyes, you drew him in for a hard-searing kiss which he eagerly reciprocated. When the two of you finally broke apart, Namjoon was sporting the wisest grin.
“But if you ever scare me like that again, I’ll save your life just to kill you myself.”
“Whatever you say, Y/N,” Namjoon grinned before pulling you in for another kiss.

Your mother had warned you about men like him.
Men who lied and stole. Men who broke the hearts of the foolish young girls who gave them their hearts. Men who carried guns that would kill you if you even so much as looked at them wrong.
You swore to yourself you would never be victim to those type of men.
In fact, you did everything in your power to fight against them. When you first joined the police force, you were the youngest recruit to join the special investigations unit. It wasn’t long before you worked your way up high enough to the national crime unit and became an undercover agent.
You were working on the biggest case of organized crime this country had possibly ever seen. Kim Seokjin was nearly untouchable. It was like he had every high-ranking official and media outlet eating out of the palm of his hand. It was well known to those in power that he was the leader of the mafia. But to the public, he was the young and charismatic CEO of a large conglomerate that everyone loved. And at night, he was one of the most feared monsters that lurked in the dark.
You had never meant to catch his attention.

After your first few weeks undercover, they had lined up all the new recruits. You would finally be coming face to face with the infamous Kim Seokjin. He was more handsome than you had expected, and you hated that that was the first thing you noticed about him. You could see why he had such a large group of followers; he was charming to an unspeakable degree.
And somehow, amongst all the new recruits, you had managed to catch Seokjin’s attention.
You thought he had already left when you were pulled to the side. His men brought you to a car with heavily tinted windows. You made note of the bulletproof casing and triple paned windows too. When you shuffled into the back seat, he was already there waiting for you. You politely bowed your head and greeted him.
“Tell me, Y/N…” Seokjin spoke after a few moments of silence. “How does someone so beautiful like you get involved in this line of business?”
You and your team had created a backstory for moments like this, but you had a feeling that Seokjin wouldn’t believe a single word you said. And for some strange reason, you couldn’t bring yourself to lie to him. Maybe it was this sort of magnetic personality that drew so many people into him and allowed him to get away with all his crimes.
You settled for a vague answer, hoping it would suffice.
“Everybody has their own set of circumstances, Mr. Kim.”
“Indeed,” Seokjin pondered, almost as if he was deciding whether to probe any further. “How lucky am I that your circumstances brought you to me. Call me Jin.”

Jin had taken you out to dinner afterwards that night. And the night after that. And the night after that.
Almost every night that he wasn’t away for business, he requested your company. The more you saw him, the more human he seemed to be. Slowly and slowly, he became less of a criminal to you and more like any other handsome man who liked to be complimented and make terrible dad jokes.
And when Jin finally kissed you for the first time, you leaned in and eagerly reciprocated. You knew that once you became his lover, there was no way Jin would ever let you go. But it was too late because somewhere along the way, you had already unknowingly already given him your heart.
For months, you were in pure agony. Every day, your feelings fought with your moral obligation until the thoughts in your head were just a jumbled mess. And yet, the only thing that could relieve your stress to allow you to think clearly again was Jin’s touch.
You continued to report back to the police force. It started out as omitting small details. Eventually, they became half-truths and your half-truths became whole lies. And that was when you realized that you had already chosen Jin.

You were lying in Jin’s bed when you got the call. He was in the shower when your burner phone began to buzz. It only ever rang when your handler needed to get ahold of you and was only meant for dire circumstances. You quickly answered the call before Jin could finish in the bathroom.
“It’s happening. 0200 hours.” Your handler hung up immediately after the message was delivered leaving only the ringing of the dial tone in your ears.
Your mind began racing. You knew this day would come. That the whole point of this operation was to catch Kim Seokjin red-handed and put him behind bars for good. If the police were going to make a bust tonight, they must’ve collected enough evidence.
But how? God knows you had stopped feeding them intel long ago when you started warming Jin’s bed instead. Your breath hitched when you realized that there was probably someone else on the inside.
Now what were you going to do? Where did your loyalties truly lie?
If you kept silent, the authorities would seize all of Jin’s assets and lock him away in prison. Or worse, he could be killed if he refused to cooperate. And if you warned Jin, you’d be branded a traitor on both sides. To the force, you would be just like any other criminal working for the mafia and Jin…
When you took on this job, nothing you did could have ever prepared you for someone like Jin. Simply put, he wasn’t like other men that you had met. He had effortlessly drawn you in until you were wholly consumed by him. Would Jin be able to forgive you? Or would he feel betrayed and be the one to put a bullet right through your head?
Your mother had warned you about men like him and you hadn’t listened. Now look at where that had gotten you.
The bathroom door opened breaking your train of thought. Jin stepped out, his hair still slightly damp from the shower. He slowly stepped towards you, that annoying smirk that you had come to love present on his face.
He pushed you back onto the bed, so you were lying flat on your back. Propping himself above you, he began to pepper you with light kisses. His soft lips began a trail across your jaw and down your neck until he suddenly stopped.
“I can tell you have something on your mind, Y/N.”
Unexpected tears welled up in your eyes. You let out a deep sigh and wrapped your arms around Jin to pull him down. His weight on top of you was comforting and you hid your face in the crook of his neck.
“I’m so sorry, Jin.” It was like the floodgates had opened and once those words came out of your mouth, you couldn’t stop apologizing. You repeated the same words over and over again.
Jin flipped the two of you around so that you were now on top, your head resting on his chest.
“Why are you sorry, Y/N?”
You told him everything - from how you started undercover to how you fell in love with him.
“You have to leave, Jin! They’re coming tonight. You should still have enough time to board your jet…”
Jin’s laughter interrupted you, causing confusion. How could he be laughing at a time like this?
“My precious, innocent Y/N,” Jin cooed as he softly stroked your hair. “I know everything already. I knew you were a cop before I even laid eyes on you. The police chief already called to warn me about their plans tonight and the district attorney has already assured me that the judge won’t sign off on the warrant.”
“How…”
“Do you really still have to ask that, love? I’m Kim Seokjin,” he grinned before pulling you into a searing kiss. “And now that you’ve admitted everything to me, I’ve been assured that you’re mine completely. I’m never letting you go now.”

This was the last time you were ever doing a favour for your boyfriend.
You had been together with Namjoon for a while now and you were completely aware of what his job entailed. He was the leader of the largest mafia in the city. To others, he was calculating and ruthless. But to you, he was the love of your life and there wasn’t anything you wouldn’t do for him including adapting to his lifestyle.
Namjoon had a shipment arriving at the city’s local docks. The operation was being carried out by some new recruits that he had yet to meet. So, you were accompanying him to the docks while he supervised what was going on.
An urgent phone call had come up and Namjoon motioned for you to head down to the docks first, worried the rookies would botch something up while he was on the call. You left the car first and made your way down to the docks by yourself.
And that was how you found yourself held at gunpoint, a group of bumbling idiots circled around you.
“Listen here, sweetheart. Tell us who you’re working for and our boss might let you off easy.”
You rolled your eyes and let out an exasperated sigh.
“Like I told you a million times before, I’m here on behalf of your boss. You can ask him yourself.”
“You expect us to believe a delicate thing like you works for a man like Kim Namjoon?”
Their asinine questions had worn down the last of your patience. With a quick turn of your head and the force of your hand, you knocked the gun out of one of the henchman’s hands and into your own. Lunging forward, you grabbed the man who was questioning you and secured him in a chokehold with the gun pointed at his temple.
“Does anyone else have questions for me?” you asked, your tone indicating a challenge.
“What the fuck is going on here?” Namjoon’s authoritative voice rang out from behind you. All the men visibly flinched and took a step away from you.
“B-boss! P-please help me! We found this little bitch trespassing.!” The man in your hold was shaking in fear and you couldn’t help but smirk.
“Y/N,” Namjoon called out to you. “Let go and step away.”
You knew better than to mess around with Namjoon when he was giving orders in front of his men. You did as you were told and took your place right behind him. Namjoon was deceivingly calm as he took a few steps to stand before your accuser.
In one swift motion, he grabbed the man by the scruff of his shirt and leaned in closely.
“What did you just call my fiancée?”
The man was sputtering, his face turning red from lack of breath.
“You’re pathetic,” Namjoon sneered before letting him go and pushing him to the ground. “Somebody needs to update me on the shipment.”

You were seated in the back of the car with Namjoon again once he had finished his business by the docks. He was on the phone again and you found yourself bored. Reaching over, you grabbed his hand and began to play with one of his hands.
“Hold that thought, Hoseok. I’ll have to call you back.” Namjoon suddenly ended the call.
Namjoon tightly gripped your hand that was holding his and brought it up to his mouth, placing a sweet kiss into the palm of your hand.
“You’re so needy, Y/N,” he teased.
“Well, excuse me, I almost died today!” You were only joking but a dark look flashed across Namjoon’s face.
“Thank you for reminding me.” Namjoon leaned forward to tap the driver’s shoulder. “Jungkook, take care of that incompetent fucker for me.”
You knew what that meant but things like this no longer scared you. The distress was still evident on Namjoon’s face, his eyebrows furrowed in anger. You reached up to smooth away his worries, offering him a bright smile.
“I’m okay, Namjoon, I promise. I had control of it the entire time.”
“I know, but I don’t like him touching what’s mine.”
“Look who’s the needy one now!”
“Shut up, Y/N.”
Cradling your face with both hands now, Namjoon drew you in for a deep kiss.
“I will always take care of you, Y/N,” he promised when the two of you finally broke apart.
“I know, Joon. But you really need to fix your staffing problem.”
