The gym is Shawn’s worst enemy. He hates having to work out on all of those fancy machines, and put his body through so many methods of horrible torture, all to maintain his trim figure… but it’s just something that he has to do, for work. He’s incredibly fortunate to be where he is in his career, with his current circumstances… lucky that it hasn’t been pulled out from underneath his feet… and, if he wants to keep things the way that they are now, he’s got to make sure that he doesn’t gain a single pound. He spends countless hours in the gym — in the belly of the beast — working off the insane amounts of food that he eats, and keeping the baby fat from creeping on. Machine after machine, calorie after calorie, he keeps on going until every muscle in his body is on fire and he feels like he’s going to puke. That’s when he knows that he’s done for the day. It’s extremely uncomfortable, exercising with what feels like a ten pound bowling ball crammed inside of his stomach, and a handful of massive meals taking up whatever space is left… but, when it comes to his career, a man’s got to do what a man’s got to do. No pain, no gain.
