note : hi hi hiii!! wow i missed you guys sooo much! this chapter is kinda filler but i have something really fun happening when they get to philly -> the dmv in the next few, its been soo hard to write since holli has been mia i keep having to rewatch old content to make sure im accurate enough! but thank you too much for waiting i love you guys so much always and forever <3. p.s im getting way more comfortable with writing more romantic relationships between everyone and y/n so it'll get kind interesting soon..mmm excited!
You had gained 10k more followers in the past hour after jonah reposted your story. This was scary, see you had gained some.. sitting around 9k since camilles little slip up, BUT THIS… was so surreal, with those follows came the comments, nothing your weren’t used too but now it was dms. you’d scroll through your requests, some people calling you beautiful, some saying how lucky you were, your favorite one being how you were “so brave” and “really a trooper”.
You sighed rubbing your eyes and getting up to get ready for the day, later today hollis was back on the road to get to the next stop and you could either fly back with jonah or stay with holli and finish the tour with him. You had already experienced so much with hollis , going to all different cities and meeting all different people. The next stop was philly PA, he had two stops there before going to Virginia and then through the DMV. You thought about this decision as you packed up your bags in the bathroom, and getting your suitcase together. Humming a song to yourself as you neatly folded your clothes setting them in your suitcase, before you heard the door to your hotel room being open. Seeing roman holli and jonah walk in, all chatting amongst each other as romantic shut the door behind them.
“well good morning beautiful” hollis said turning the corner seeing you pack up by the beds, you looked up and smiled gently zipping your suitcase up.
“hi holli, how was breakfast?” you asked softly looking at the tall blonde man as he sat on the bed next to your suitcase, gazing up at you with his beautiful hazel eyes, and his stained eyeliner from the night before, his hair kinda messy bangs all frizzy. Hollis smiled and shrugged,
“you know, romans fatass ate more than me and jonah combined-“ hollis laughed before being quickly cut off with a pillow being thrown at him from where roman was laying, you let out a soft chuckle turning back to look at the dark haired man you was laying flat on his back across the bed, jonah laying across romans abdomen scrolling on his phone.
The sight was so sweet, you could really feel the love and support these boys had for each other. It was something that could really truly warm your soul and so refreshing to be around, the love and admiration roman had for hollis basically radiated off of him, the belief and support hollis had for roman and jonah you could see it in his eyes.
“y/n, are you gonna go home with jonah today?” roman asked, the question made everyone perk up, and all eyes were on you.
you thought for a moment, and sighed running your hands through your hair.
“that’s such a hard question and ive honestly been thinking about it all morning,” you sighed sitting on the bed as the mattress dipped. Hollis sat up on his elbows facing you now as you rested a hand upon your suitcase.
“i want to keep traveling with you guys so bad, i mean just in these first few stops ive experienced more in my life than every before, and its been so beautiful.” you sighed “but it does get kinda lonely, and i get kinda homesick, and i miss my friends a lot and i mean, not to bring it up but holli your fans aren’t really the nicest.” You’d admitted.
You could see the shift in hollis expression, he had known about how people reacted to you and how you were towards the group of boys, as you had mentioned it before to him. He’s always told you to not worry about what people online would say but he knew to someone who's new to having such a big online presence now, it can be kinda hard to ignore.
“i guess i just dont want to like, carry this drama on tour, like this is huge for you holli and ive been a fan since you’ve played in basements on a ladder.” you said making hollis and roman laugh, “i want you guys to really cherish these moments, holli its only up for you from here and roman your just now starting, i don’t wanna be extra weight on your guys shoulders” you said said softly running your hand over your suit case.
Roman looked at hollis and then jonah who had completely ditched his phone now full engaged in the conversation. Hollis sighed and stammered, sitting up fully now.
“y/n..it would really be awesome if you came. like its up to you at the end of the day of course but you’ve been such a good presence to have around since we asked you to come on tour with us” Hollis said softly, roman nodded and chimed in after him.
“yeah y/n, like after everytime i perform i always look forward to going up to the balcony and seeing you run up and hug and congratulate me and i know nate feels the same way” roman said softly “or after the shows when we go out to see the fans and you record for us and sometimes you can see some of the girls point and get excited to see you, and i know in the sheer flood of hate it can really be hard to see that. You cant always live up to what they say online or else youre gonna miss what you have in the moment” Roman said softly, and it really touched your heart and he was right, you had been so caught up in what people were saying online and trying no to be seen that you were completely missing the people who wanted you around.
‘wow roman, it think that’s the fastest ive seen you lock in before” jonah laughed cutting the sharp tensioning the air, roman slapped the top of his head “hey i didn’t even hear you contribute at all,” Roman replied, making you laugh and shake your head,
“what were trying to say y/n, is that with you here with us this has been the most exciting series of events we’ve ever had, and getting to know you not just as a fan but as a person had been literally a blessing” jonah said softly, you turned to hollis who was nodding along with it,
you thought for a moment, all the hate, the drama, the comments the stares everything and then all the beautiful sights, cities and things youve experienced alongside hollis really overshadowed what the people online were saying,
“sooo.. philly next?” you asked with a smile on your face holding your hands in your lap, you immediately saw roman light up as hollis shouted ‘yes!’ as they celebrated the fact you’d be going along with them to finish the tour.
Jonah looked a little disappointed, but looked at you with a smile and sat up walking over to you,
“i guess ill miss you, how am i gonna make music without a muse?” he tilted his head with a smile, his comment made you blush scrunching your nose at him as you tucked some hair behind your ear.
“oh jonah.. the second we get back to you in LA we will create until we can’t anymore” you said softly as you hugged him feeling his hands press into the middle of your back and his head rest on your shoulder.
“okay i actually have to go now my uber is here” jonah said softly letting go of you before dapping up hollis and roman and grabbing his bags “and you guys have to be on the road soon anyway,” he said.
“i love you bro ill see you back in LA” hollis said giving jonah one more hug,
“yes stay safe i love you” roman followed up as jonah left the hotel room, now all you needed was hollis and roman to pack and you could get back on the road.
You sat on the bed pulling out your phone, deleting twitter in the process, what roman said had really stuck with you these past few weeks were such a rough start, being so sucked into what other people thought about you was hard, but you were so excited for what the next few stops had in mind for you.
you had always wanted to go to DC anyway and that was something you were so excited for, putting your phone down watching roman and hollis pack up and talk just reminded you how much you loved them, not just as a fan you could really say you loved them now it really felt like you were back having a little highschool crush. How your heart would flutter around roman or how excited you'd get to see hollis, they weren't just artists to you now, you knew them as people you knew them for who they truly were without all the glam and flashing lights.
everything about all the boys and their friendship with each other was something so admirable, and you were see excited to see them grow as the tour continued.
