THIS IS BLOOP DAYÂ by Jimmy Kerast
REBLOG IF YOUR MUSE IS A MONSTER.
+ 2333fathomsbelow
heligooddeals:
«Thatâs what you keep saying.» And her alarms went off every single time, but she continued ignoring them. As shady as the deal was she couldnât pass up the opportunity to grab some almost-freebies and run. If she could get even just a handful of those gems, or an armful of weapons, or that metalâ
«âŠThereâs a coastline not far from where Iâm at.» Blackguard closed out video feed so she could pull up a map of the area (and get her optics off the dusty collection) then picked out a spot, sending the coordinates to Kraken. «Itâll be a couple of hours worth of flying time for me. Do you think you can meet me there?»
::Of course...:: He oozes charmingly, ::I look forward to meeting you, my dear. See you in a few hours:: Even as he cuts the comm, shutting down the video feed, his huge side tentacles curl and release, squirming and twisting tightly together, then releasing. Occasionally, a giddy little shiver twitches through him, his biolights flickering and dimming. Oh joyous day!
She was coming straight into his trap, and he couldnât help the maliciously giddy feeling burbling inside his massive form. Untold horrors live within his frame, and he canât help but eagerly quiver, playfully rolling over and over in the water, the sucking motion of his massive form dragging more than a few small ships down in his wake...not that he lets them go to waste.
With deft tentacles, he shoves them, with drowning occupants, into his maw to be processed and continues on his happy path to the rendezvous, a cheerful bit of earth music playing loudly over his internal speakers. This would be fun!
Well...for him, at least.
+ 2333fathomsbelow
Sheâd pity him if he wasnât so gruesome. The Quintessons are an unplesant people, and - last she heard - still angry over the Cybertronian revolt. «But you see where Iâm going with this, right?» She checks the timestamp anyway, to amuse the beast and validate that the image was real for herself. The video feed was unexpected, and a little unwanted, but further proved that the wares were real and ripe for the picking.
Damn it.
«If youâre sure you donât want the items then I will take them.»
::Of course youâre welcome to them, my dear. We can discuss my price when you arrive. I can assure you its much less than what I am offering is actually worth.:: His silky purring voice is pure innocence and honesty, and to sweeten the pot, he ensures that the video feed zooms in on the most expensive items in the pile...rare gems from long forgotten planets, the very well constructed weapons, masses of metal that could be easily turned into something else, so many good things...just to seal the deal.Â
He knows he has her, hook, line and sinker. He just needs to get her close enough for the true fun to begin.Â
His massive form slides deeply beneath the waves once more, cruising along at his slow, steady pace, ::Location, my dear? I donât think either of us want to be kept waiting.::
+ 2333fathomsbelow
«Hmm..» The sarcasm in his words had her doubting the loyalty of the crew, but Blackguard didnât want to continue with the subject. If the beings aboard Kraken were there against their will and-or stuck in him for so long they couldnât imagine being anywhere else she didnât want to know.
The aquilae scoffs. «People can claim lots of things but that doesn't mean any of it is true. If I claimed to be a Quintesson piloting a Gigantiar, would you believe me?» There was silence, and Blackguardâs visor brightened. She won, she shut him up, sheâ had a ping? She trilled curiously and opened the file on the shipâs hub.
Blackguard hardly believed what she saw. The photo looked real enough, but it was too good to be true. It had to be.
«Is that⊠Is that photo current?»
A highly amused chortle sounds over the commline as the merchantâs sassy rejoinder bounces back. Had he lips, heâd be smiling brightly now, as it is, the slickly amused undertones of a thing as simple as a laugh hint at his genuine amusement. His voice is a velvety purr as he answers once more, ::Very unlikely, my dear, given that I know what quintessons sound like quite intimately.::
As she speaks on however, his voice takes on a more generally business-like tone, the hint of amused and rather horrible flirtation . ::Iâd suggest checking the timestamp...but yes, it was taken mere moments ago. I can provide a live feed, if need be.::
Without asking for permission, he sends the one way, visual only link to the one specific storage room, a medium height greyish blue mech walking across the screen as if to prove its validity.
Tempt tempt, goes the monster. Come and see my wares, little fish. He promises not to eat you for very long...or at least make sure you enjoy it when he does.Â
+ 2333fathomsbelow
«Your crew?» Willing or captive? She wonders with another flick of her rotors. Likely captive. No one in their right mind would work with a monster. Then again, there was always the possibility. What was the Earth phrase? Birds with feathers fly together?
âŠclose enough.
«Well, thatâs a veryâŠÂ» Oh, whatâs the word? «âŠpromising offer, but Iâm going to pass. Only a dumb one merchant would fall for such an obvious trap.» She answered him bluntly, thankful for the distance between them. The conversation would be going so much differently if she had to speak with him face to face.
::My ever so loyal crew, yes. They've all served me for a very long time...:: Indeed, the drones had been with him since his initial commissioning, maintaining and keeping the eternal rust and decay of the various seas and lands heâd had the fortune to swim through, or float in.Â
::A trap?:: SOMEHOW he manages to sound innocently offended, yet slick and greasy at the same time, his deep voice a nasty purr. ::Now, why would I ever do that to you, my dear? I am merely an individual with a lot of goods that I would like to sell on, or else I'm afraid theyâre just going to end up sitting in my hold until they rust to pieces.::
The clever bastard even takes a picture of the storage room, cleaned and brightly lit, with rows upon rows of shiny things to be sold, including massive weapons, old and new tech...the works. What a tempting view it gives...and he pings the image to the merchant who is ever so leery of him. ::So much to sell, so little time, yes?::Â
+ 2333fathomsbelow
«Oh, I think youâre plenty dangerous.» And the screaming people she heard him devour would agree. This monster didn't need weapons, but he still asked about them and she had to answer. «I donât have any special weapons,» the merchant shrugs, going through her inventory file even though the task was pointless. She knew what was there but she wanted a distraction, something to focus on besides his disgusting voice  «Just your basic weaponry and the standard firearms that get handed out in the military.»
She flicked her rotors. Was that laugh direct at her? Or at something else? Blackguard suspected it was at her, but wasn't certain of it. This monster was strange and unpredictable. Something told her she would be better off not knowing what exactly made him laugh.
Just focus on the conversation and get it over with.
«Is that so?» Unicron take that damned part of her that is interested. This is so obviously a trap, but if it isnâtâŠÂ «What do you have?»
::Intriguing.:: He purrs softly. Even if she was lying, he now knew she had very little in the way of direct weaponry likely for sale, or at all. Probably even less that would even be a mediocre amount of a threat to himself, though he could only assume that whatever vessel she was travelling in would actually BE armed. Of course...if she came down to earth, she likely wouldn't be able to bring her ship down into the thick atmosphere without provoking some armed response from the locals, and he could have her all to himself. Ooooo, the possibilities.Â
::Mmmm, according to my crew, I have a large number of very old mods, including first wave of phase shifting, electro-disruption...as well as a number of inbuilt weapons mods, and servo held equipment. Energon canons, blasters, and the like. Much of it is still in very functional shape, and even the items that aren't would make delicious salvage. What merchant isn't interested in selling technology, mmm?:: Kraken purrs into the comm, trying to make the items sound amazing, and draw his little morsel in.Â
Come visit, little one. Kraken has so much to show you. Tempt tempt.
+ 2333fathomsbelow
She shrugs. «I suppose. I do get to travel and meet a lot people.» Which was hardly anything exciting in her book. Occasionally there was a wild client, someone who had special tastes or a loud personality, but for the most part work was mundane. Traveling an ocean was far more interesting than being on the comm-lines all day.
«Uhm..» Great. Now heâs turning into a creepy client. «Well, that I have on me right now? Supplies, trinkets, and some weapons. I can get pretty much anything though, with enough time and credits.»
::Intriguing. Weapons, you said? What sort? Not that Iâd be capable of using them. Tentacles, you see.:: The oily voice is very clearly amused, rumbling softly before his tone shades towards contemplative, as if thinking about how ridiculous it would look to attach weapons to his massive form.
::I would, however, like to think Iâd be quite dangerous enough without any.:: He doesn't seem to be waiting from a comment from her, merely meandering about in the conversation before a low laugh escapes him.
::But yes, my dear...I happen to be in possession of a large number of rather antiquated modifications and weapons myself. I have no use for them whatsoever. Would you be..hmm...interested?::Â
Oh, that is the oiliest, deepest, darkest most slippery voice that could ever be, even as he directs the drones that live within his massive form to start harvesting the usable pieces of the dead shells within his storage rooms for possible usage.Â
Tread carefully, Blackguard.
+ 2333fathomsbelow
Yes, it is your fault. She thinks and almost wants to say. However, she mostly wants to continue living so Blackguard holds her glossa. <<Iâll try not to.>>
<<Trader. I make a living buying and selling goods across the galaxy, and more recently across various universes.>> She answered him flatly. <<Itâs an inglorious but steady career.>>
An deeply interested noise sounds over the comm as the slick voice comments softly, ::Trader, hmm? A life of adventure no doubt...::
Clearly, the voice on the other line is determined to keep her chatting. It isn't often that he gets a chance to speak with anyone, and now that he has her on the line, he isn't letting go any-time soon. Wriggle, wriggle, little fish, he is just going to keep reeling you in.
::Tell me, my dear, what goods do you have at the moment?:: The dark voice drips nothing but amused interest, slick and vile. The tone alone is enough to cause shivers down the spinal strut of any bot unfortunate enough to gain his interest.
...And Oh Primus does Blackguard have his interest.
::Donât be shy, dearest. I truly want to hear.::
::DID YOU HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH THIS, YOU FLUTTERING MENACE?:: The normally deep rumbling voice is super high pitched, screeking across the line. Poor Kraken. Being two feet long sucks.
::âŠHello to you, too.::
::Why is it that I am always under suspicion with you?:: Starscream shook his helm, chuckling at the odd pitch of Crackenâs voice.Â
::My, the way you sound, Iâd think we were twins~. Are you alright? You need some help?::
Poor Stella did what she could to hold on to him; he was a wiggly little thing indeed. Her efforts were repaid with little more than vicious slaps of his tentacles and the sharp edge of his beak digging into her forearms. âOww! Oh noâŠâ She winced when she saw blood trickling down her elbow. âYou can see the bite marksâŠJudas is going to be worried, nowâŠâ
She changed her tune when he finally stilled and seemed to be shivering in fright. âOh noâŠOh creator, I think he is cryingâŠpoor little fellaâŠâ Still held tight within the steel band strength of her arms, she headed back towards Starscream.Â
Starscream reached out to her, trying to collect Kracken into his own hands, âKraken? Kraken, can you hear me? What can I do for you? How can I help you right now?â
The tiny defeated lump of metal is easily transferred to the mechâs bigger servos, the change in softness and warmth of said grasp is noted on the now dry plating of the little mech, but garners little to no reaction from Kraken. His tentacles slowly go completely limp, dangling below his small frame.
Settling in the palm of one servo, there would be a slight shuffling of tiny tentacles, and Star would have the lightest tug on his digits, trying to get his other hand to settle over the tiny hiding monster. Kraken wants to hide right now, and Star is convenient.Â
Kraken's shivering steadily increases in severity until it simply stops mid-shake. A hot vent would purl across Starâs palms, and a shaky deep voice sounds into general comms, sounding lucid, disgusted, and very, very unsettled, //Did I bite someone? Something tastes awful.//
::DID YOU HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH THIS, YOU FLUTTERING MENACE?:: The normally deep rumbling voice is super high pitched, screeking across the line. Poor Kraken. Being two feet long sucks.
::âŠHello to you, too.::
::Why is it that I am always under suspicion with you?:: Starscream shook his helm, chuckling at the odd pitch of Crackenâs voice.Â
::My, the way you sound, Iâd think we were twins~. Are you alright? You need some help?::
He was very close to slipping away. That close to getting away. Unfortunately for him, Estella was very quick. Grasping him by his wriggling aft, Estella pulled him back from the grate, trying to wrap him up in her arms.Â
She had less tact than her mother when it came to addressing panicking, frightened people. Such spoke voulmes in the hesitant, darting manner in which she held him to her bossom. ::Iâm not going to hurt you! Donât run away.::
Starscream watched with anguish at the terrified jerks of his friend in his daughterâs grasp.Â
A LOUD squeal bursts from his vocalizer as squishy digits clasp about his tiny rotund frame, tentacles whipping about frantically. He pulls no punches as he tries to escape, slapping and beating at his captor with all his might. If any part of her was close enough to his small maw, heâd bite what he could, though from the angle he was being held, all he could do is wriggle and flail.
After a long moment, he falls silent, small limbs curling into his frame tightly, his field pulling in so tightly that its completely undetectable, his outer plating even cooling a little as he mentally retreats into the depths of his processor...the instinct to flee is still strong, but slowly, lucid thought is trickling back in.
Estella would likely be able to feel the fine shivering of the tiny body, the cold plating, and the utter lack of reaction to anything else.Â
He isn't going to uncurl from his sulky position, tucking his tentacles in even tighter. Not giving in. Nopenope. Danger is still out there. He ain't moving.
::DID YOU HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH THIS, YOU FLUTTERING MENACE?:: The normally deep rumbling voice is super high pitched, screeking across the line. Poor Kraken. Being two feet long sucks.
::âŠHello to you, too.::
::Why is it that I am always under suspicion with you?:: Starscream shook his helm, chuckling at the odd pitch of Crackenâs voice.Â
::My, the way you sound, Iâd think we were twins~. Are you alright? You need some help?::
Dear oh dear, but this reaction was troubling. Starscream had wanted to let Kraken take the time he needed to be by himself, but the way his panic was escalating, he would do himself a harm if no one intervened.
But how to stop the creature without worsening his flight of terror? He was beyond reasoning; beyond conscious thought it seemed. Starscream gestured to Estella to retrieve the little creature. âBe careful. Donât hurt him. Heâs afraid, and we donât need to make it worseâŠâ
Estella nodded and bolted after Kraken, darting her slender frame down his chosen route and reaching out to catch him. ::Please donât be scared Mister Octopus. Iâm your friend. Iâm here to help you.::
If Krakenâs processor could handle any other thought than GOGOGOHIDEHIDEHIDE, he would likely have some choice words for the human thing chasing after him. Theyâd probably be less than polite in a number of ways, and in a dozen different languages.Â
Curses and frantic slappings from tiny tentacles would have to wait. With a tiny fraction of the strength Kraken normally possesses, the tiny runaway shoves his tentacles through the slats of the grate and hauls on it, the satisfying sound of metal bending shrieking through the room.Â
With a lightning calculation of a frantic processor, he shoves himself through the hole, wriggling mightily to try and get the arched back of his small chassis into the gap. Unfortunately, this also gives Estella a chance to catch up, his little wriggling aft and shoving tentacles very visible.
As soon as the sound of footsteps echoes through the flooring, he steps up his efforts, a high hiss escaping his maw. He will not be caught!
::DID YOU HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH THIS, YOU FLUTTERING MENACE?:: The normally deep rumbling voice is super high pitched, screeking across the line. Poor Kraken. Being two feet long sucks.
::âŠHello to you, too.::
::Why is it that I am always under suspicion with you?:: Starscream shook his helm, chuckling at the odd pitch of Crackenâs voice.Â
::My, the way you sound, Iâd think we were twins~. Are you alright? You need some help?::
As Kraken continued to give his history, Starscream could sense the otherâs growing discomfort. Rightly so; it all sounded rather miserable from his end. Having âownersâ not âdirectorsâ. Contrary to what he was used to at the Science Academy.Â
When his biolights began to flash, his hold loosened and he attempted to calm his uneasy guest, âThatâs alright, dear; donât get yourself upset. We donât need to talk about things that bring you pain. Calm yourself, all is well. There is nothing to harm you here, you know.â
Estella gasped in surprise at the hiss and the fearful flight of the little creature, leaping back as he scurried past her. She moved to chase him, but Starscream withheld her. âShh, donât, heâs upset. Just waitâŠâ
::Dear? Donât do this. No one here is a threat to you. You must give more credit to your own intelligence; you would not have allowed me to come near you if you had any thought that I would hurt you. Youâre more clever and perceptive than that. You have nothing to fear from me.::
The mini monster doesn't even hesitate to skitter under the lowest thing his small frame can fit under, hastily scanning anything and everything he can to find some sort of place to truly hide. He can hear them, his sensors have pinpointed their precise location, their vitals, and movements. The comm is heard, but definitely not understood.
A shriek of feedback a single garbled word in a language older than Cybertron is all Star gets as the creature bolts once more, knocking equipment askew as he moves. As soon as his route hits a wall, his small form slams into it, seeking a weak point.Â
He finds it soon enough.Â
Something within in processor knew of vents, of air circulation. Heâd downloaded enough Earth building schematics and had enough Cybertronian building practices to know of these things. He is not thinking, in this moment. All higher functions have been suspended in a way he hasn't experienced in a millennia.Â
With a shriek of metal, small tentacles latch onto the vent cover and begin to TUG as hard at they can, tiny spiked maw gaping as bitty fans, unable to use water to cool the small frame, belch heat.
Need to hide, need to hide, need to run.
+ 2333fathomsbelow
Blackguard welcomes the quiet of her ship, listening to the soft hums and beeps of systems running across the vessel. The noise was far more pleasing sound to listen to than the dying screams of people, which she was trying to push back so she would not fixate on the sound and make herself sick. She struggled enough with justifying the incident as a simple feeding, not a slaughter. Whoever she pinged was clearly alive, and all living creatures must consume something in order to survive. Some could live without harming others, but some could not. It was natureâs way, and it could not be changed.
With a sigh, Blackguard resumed her work, hoping that if she pretended everything was normal then the call would be forgotten that much sooner. That attempt ended miserably. «Sorry. My connection gets a bit faulty sometimes.» So much for putting this behind her. «Kraken, you can call me Blackguard.»
::No, no. All my fault of course, donât fret your little helm, my dear.:: Dark humour is slick on every word that comes across the comm, the dry tone more than evident that the monster on the other side of the line knows precisely why it failed.Â
::An interesting designation. Blackguard.:: A low chuckle reverberates, and he continues on as if nothing had happened, no mass killing, no closing of the line, merely perhaps a mild interruption. His silky oily voice drips into the listening audials, Â ::And what might your profession be, my dear? I'm afraid my own is something akin to...hmm...I was a deep water planetary explorer at one point, amongst other things.::
A low hmm of consideration as Kraken idly answers, seemingly bored with speaking of himself, ::I think the closest description at this moment would be prisoner on this blue marble of a planet.::
No, he doesn't sound at ALL disgruntled by that fact. Nono, of course not. Nope. Totally cool with it.Â
A long tentacle snakes up to flick a floating coconut hard enough to send it whistling through the air and land with startling force in the middle of a large city where it punches into the hood of a taxi, and causes a car accident. Score!
::DID YOU HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH THIS, YOU FLUTTERING MENACE?:: The normally deep rumbling voice is super high pitched, screeking across the line. Poor Kraken. Being two feet long sucks.
::âŠHello to you, too.::
::Why is it that I am always under suspicion with you?:: Starscream shook his helm, chuckling at the odd pitch of Crackenâs voice.Â
::My, the way you sound, Iâd think we were twins~. Are you alright? You need some help?::
Starscream had never been a mech that fueled easily. As a child, it was always a chore to get him to drink his energon. The job had often fallen to Thundercracker, bless his patience, and Starscream put him through his paces each and every time. Even so, watching Kraken consume his fuel, he was captivated. What an interesting technique. Efficient, but not lacking in finesseâŠ
The description of his functions didnât help to quell Starâs inquiries. âWere you limited to exploring Cybertronian oceans orâŠ.â His spark was fluttering at the thought of the other having been a deep space explorer, âHave you seen the oceans of many other worlds? Other than Earth?â
He tilted his helm, ââŠYou were a retainer of sorts? LikeâŠof data or specimens?â
Of course he was offended at the derision aimed at his creation, but also impressed that Kraken knew of the nameâs origin. âDo you like stories? I do, too. Such a sad story, wasnât it? A tedious read, but a very good storyâŠâ
"Estella is a human. Well..mostly human. Part of her brain is Cybertronian.â
"When I made her the first time, it was purely for research purposes. She was sort of like a shell. I could download part of my mind into hers, and conduct research on Earth through use of her body. I wanted to be able to experience the Earth as a creature it was designed forâŠThere are so many astounding, intricate little details I might have missed if I were there in my own body."
"Unfortunately she was destroyed, and I had to start over. Only the second time I decided I would make her better than before. Not just a conduit for study, but as a real, living person. I cannot have children of my own, so, in a way it was me trying to be the mother I always wished I could be."
He could have gone on about her, but as it turned out there was no need. The lady herself chose that very moment to enter the room, dressed in a two-piece swim suit and carrying a large fluffy towel. Her gaze was drawn to the strange little creature in her motherâs arm; the bio-lights in her optics glowing with her strange, alien attentiveness. She smiled and waved, trotting over with the intention of touching the little squid.
"Oh, wow! Mama, did you make that? How beautiful!" She cooed and reached out to pet his helm, "Hello there, friend."
//I was used on a number of different planets, many with oceans of similar H2O conditions to Earth. Some were more basic, some more acidic. Some were completely different, like Cybertron.// That was about as much as he was willing to share about that aspect of his functioning...his creation by the Quintessons, and subsequent inheritance by the citystate of Vos was nothing he liked to speak about in general terms.Â
//In the beginning, it was both. My owners at the time required living specimens for their research, as well as data for their living conditions to keep them alive as long as possible.// He reluctantly admits, the miniature monster wriggles slightly in Star's arms as unpleasant memories curl into his processor...a heavy disgust with himself curdling to the surface. Was he so weak that if he lost his size and strength, that he would seek out comfort in the arms of a filthy Seeker? What was he thinking?? Discontent rolls through his frame, and his tiny tentacles abruptly coil in, retreating from their clutching, and from the near finished cube of energon, a tiny dribble trickling down the outside of the cube from his haste.
Even his field coils in even more tightly as he listens to Star's story, the bizarre vague similarities to his own past...Estella was destroyed and Star had to start over, to improve her. Unease floods every line of his frame, and the tiny Goliath tries to scoot back away from the cube, memories of being torn down and rebuilt for science, a millennia in dry dock watching the lives of those around him and being thought of as nothing but a tool, then being refitted to hold sparks worthy of imprisonment...being trapped on Earth, alone for so long, even before the first vestiges of humans stood upright...No. A growing need to escape makes his plating shiver, the tiny dots of biolights along his sides flickering uneasily.Â
As soon as Estella attempts to touch his helm, completely oblivious up to that point as he wallows in his memory files, he shoves himself backwards and off Star's lap with a loud strident HISS, tumbling to the floor with a KLAK-BANG and a great flailing of limbs.Â
Immediately, tiny tentacles and bitty form are DARTING across the floor at high speed. Away from the Seeker and its human experiment. The need to escape is paramount.Â
::DID YOU HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH THIS, YOU FLUTTERING MENACE?:: The normally deep rumbling voice is super high pitched, screeking across the line. Poor Kraken. Being two feet long sucks.
::âŠHello to you, too.::
::Why is it that I am always under suspicion with you?:: Starscream shook his helm, chuckling at the odd pitch of Crackenâs voice.Â
::My, the way you sound, Iâd think we were twins~. Are you alright? You need some help?::
It was a little funny the more Starscream observed the similarities they shared. They both tended to be a little over-dramatic, and they both could be very needy and bossy when they felt in was within their privelege to be pampered. Not that it bothered him; for he was genuinely fond of Kraken, and wished more than anything to remain friends with himâŠ
Perhaps because he hated the thought that his kind had won the otherâs disdain, and hoped to win back respect in his eyes.Â
He doesnât resist the grasping tentacle and allows his servo to be commandeered, obligingly scratching to the otherâs content. âYour wish is my command. You are lucky you are so very lovely, dear. Not many mechs can win my spark like this, you know. You wouldnât find me following the demands of lesser creatures.â
Once the attendent robot returned with the Energon, Starscream pulled Kraken up to be held against his canopy as he exited the pool and seated himself atop a supply carton. Cracking open the cube, he offered it to his guest. âThatâs right. I had forgotten you donât really need water in order to surviveâŠBut do you do not get uncomfortable if deprived of it for too long?â
He chuckled, âI think youâll beat me easily~. I never was very good at hiding places. Skywarp was always much better. Estella might get a kick out of playingââ Oh! Heâd quite forgotten about her.Â
"My creation would probably like to meet you. Would you care to see her?" His wings flicked in pride, "Thereâs not another creature alive like her. I made her; sheâs quite incredible!"
The monster canât quite see a reason to complain about being snuggled, an annoyed little squirmy feeling in his chassis startling his tentacles into twitching at the odd note within the Seekerâs voice. He wasn't quite sure he LIKED the feeling, prompting a faintly annoyed rumble escaping him.Â
His attention is quickly taken from it though, as the cube is brought up close, a few tentacles immediately wriggle in its direction. The fumes from the liquid are making his sensors go wild and he latches onto the outside eagerly. One thin tentacle from a tiny port near his round open wriggles out, finding the edge of the cube, Â and climbing the side. Once the bitty thing finds the entrance, it snakes down inside, pausing once it touches the liquid. A happy wriggle pulses through ALL his tentacles as the slender 'straw' ducks into the energon and begins to suck it up.Â
Only then does Kraken respond, his voice churlish at being interrupted while consuming his energon. //No. Before I was trapped on Earth, I was held in dry dock for a very long time. After that time, I was in space. Water is not necessary, but my original function was oceanographic research...then as a penitentiary.//
He doesn't seem too concerned, honestly, and continues to happily take in the energon, the suction causing odd little lumps and undulations to travel up the tentacle. His tone is dry, and slightly distracted, the faintest hint of snobby superiority in it. //Estella? Why would you name your spawn after a human?//
