Seohyun was now on her third sangria, and was beginning to feel alright about the evening. Even though she had little reason to be here apart from giving her donation to the hospital, all free alcohol and breadsticks (her guilty pleasure) were making up for it.
She had been seated next to Hyeri, Moonbyul, and as many other girls as she could find, making sure to stay away from Dean, and as a result Nari (Seohyun really did like Nari and her cute sass, she did, but it was weird being around her when Dean kept sidling up her to her and they kept talking about their son - no matter how adorable Seokjae was).
It was almost too good to be true. Seohyun was kind of having a nice time (probably because most people ignored her anyways), but she knew something bad was going to happen. Something always did when she was around Cheongnam kids. She tried to remember who she hadn’t seen yet that evening, but the fruity wine was slowing her thinking.... Come on, someone’s missing.... Who haven’t I-
“Seohyun,” she heard a deep voice address her from across the large, ornately decorated table. She looked over him, the awkward smile and the hesitance in his voice making her instinctively smile. Even though he was this famous actor now (not that he hadn’t been when they were dating), she saw him as just Seunghyun, blessed with good looks and and lots of numbers in his bank account that covered up the modest guy inside. Of course, when they first starting dating, she honestly wasn’t all too interested in his personality, but he had opened up so naturally to her that she couldn’t help but develop feelings for him.
Seohyun thought it strange that he was sitting in a gaggle of girls, but perhaps it was he was a bit furtive about Gossip Girl’s eyes on him tonight? Nevertheless, she chuckled, raising her now empty glass in his direction to show him the reason why she was a bit more relaxed than usual. “I’m pretty good... and you?”
