Connor and Markus x Overworked Reader

Connor

After work every night he’d meet you with a cup of tea to help calm you down for the evening. If you were hungry he’d make you a meal on the spot. He understands how tiring it can be to try and care for yourself after working a long day.

He’d plan relax days on your days off. There would be no chores for the house for you to do, and as little worries as he could make for you. He wants you to get proper R&R before you have to head back to work the next day. 

On these days, he’d lay you up in bed with blankets, pillows, and a good movie. He cares for your wellbeing so much. He’ll cook you comfort food. Even if he doesn’t need to eat, he enjoys seeing you full and happy

Markus

Markus would give you a back massage when you got home. He knows how stressed and exhausted you are from the day and wants you to feel relaxed. He’d run you a hot bath, with bubbles, just for you. 

On your days off he’d plan out dates for you two to go on. He wants to get you out of the house that isn’t for work and give you a fun time. Museums, pizza parlors, and walks on the town. Happiness and laughter are the best cure for stress. 

He would sneak you little notes in your clothes or in your lunch before you leave for work so you have something nice to see later on. “Have a great day, love” and “I love you so much” are nothing short of what he would leave you.

Totally would baby you. He wouldn’t let you leave the house until he could clear you as not sick anymore

He loves cooking for you. He’ll make you homemade chicken noodle soup just for you. Little crackers, plenty of water, and lots of love go with your soup, of course. 

He worries about you. He hates seeing you sick and he’d do anything to help you get better and he wants to be with you during the whole process of you getting better. 

He’ll sleep with you every night, but makes sure to hold you closer these nights. He just wants you to feel safe and secure and cared for.

Connor x Insecure Reader

A/N: Sorry I’ve been gone. A lot of things have been going on in my personal life, but I really want to get back into this.

Connor x Insecure Reader

After you and Connor get together, he becomes more and more praiseful. He picks up on how you don’t fully accept his compliments and he is very direct with you about his concerns.

“Dearest, are you okay? You seem to not believe my admirations. Are you well? Is there something you want to tell me?” He says, with the most sincerity. He is genuinely worried about you, because to him, you’re the light of his life.

When you tell him about how you’re insecure, he immediately tries to reassure you that you’re perfect to him in every way. He realizes that he cannot change your views quickly, so he makes it a note to always show his appreciation for you.

Slowly, he begins to compliment you more and more. Every morning he’ll tell you how happy is he to have you and throughout the day he shows no doubt in his compliments to you. He worries that you may not believe him, but it doesn’t stop him from trying to keep your self-esteem up.

Overall, he tries his hardest to keep you well and happy. He doesn’t ever want to see you put yourself down. To him, there’s nothing wrong or flawed about you.

How the Boys Help their S/O During a Breakdown

“I would like to request how the Dbh boys would react to seeing their S/o have a breakdown right in front of them for the first time… Maybe the S/o is always laughing,smiling and helping everyone and inside they don’t care about themselves”

Connor

-Connor would be extremely concerned. He didn’t expect you to break down, knowing you for your happy personality. It took him a moment to take action after standing there in shock for a moment. Immediately he held you in his arms and pulled you close as you collapsed in tears into him. “Y/N, Y/N what’s wrong? What can I do to help you?” He was utterly lost on how to help you, but he would do anything you told him to do. If you said nothing, he would lay down with you and run his fingers through your hair as he tells you affirmations.

-”Honey, your heart is beat abnormally fast. Are you breathing alright? Do you need any water?” He scans your vitals and is so worried he thinks about taking you to see professional care, but decides to just sit with you and listen. He’ll make sure you’re hydrated and safe to help you relax and move past this.

-After the breakdown, Connor will keep holding you close and making sure you’re alright. He’ll ask if you would like to talk about it, and will gladly listen to every moment of it. He wants to understand why it happened and how to make it so you’re less upset and stressed.

Markus

-Markus remains calm when you start to breakdown. He figures that if he stays cool and collected that it’ll help you calm down and breathe. He’ll hold your hand at first, but as you get deeper into the moment he can’t help but pull you into his arms. He understands the immense stress you’re going through and tries to let you know that. He stays pretty quiet, wanting you to express your emotions fully so he can understand what to do.

-When things get too overwhelming, he’ll have you try to breathe and quiet down so the situation can de-escalate. He’ll plant kisses all over your face to let you know that you’re loved. When you express what’s troubling you, he asks that you talk about it more so that it can leave your mind. “Y/N, if you talk about it, it’ll hurt less. Talking about it is the first step into conquering it.” He tucks your hair behind your ear, and tentatively listens to what’s going on in your mind.

-When you finally calm down, he’ll make a stupid joke to try to make you smile. He’ll give you plenty of water and love. There’s never too much love when it comes to this boy. Affection galore. When you’re well enough to go out, he’ll insist on getting you ice cream or to go out on a date to lighten your mood for the rest of the evening.

Hank

-Before you broke down in front of him, he had already figured out that you were a troubled soul. He’s just too good at reading you and the signs. Honestly, he saw a lot of himself in you and saw that deep down you were unhappy. When you begin to break, he immediately reassures you that everything is okay. “Hey, hey, Y/N, I’ve got you. You’re gonna be okay. Just hang in there, alright?” He isn’t a man of many words but when he does speak it means a million things to you. He’ll sit you down on his lap and run his hands up and down your back and nod as you speak.

-When you talk about what’s stressing you, he tells you on things he does to relieve stress and feel better. Unfortunately, most of those include booze but you’re happy that he at least understands. You rarely ever breakdown in front of people, but when you did in front of Hank his presence felt warm and understanding. He took in your emotions with open arms and tried to shield you from negativity from then on out.

-Not gonna lie, after he’ll probably offer you a beer. You simply give him a chuckle and tell him, “But I’d rather just sit here with you.” He’ll gladly comply and hold you close to his face. To get your mind off what happened he’ll tell you funny stories of him in the past. Hell, he’ll even tickle  you if it means you’ll smile. In his heart of hearts, all he wants for you is to feel loved and safe.

Luther

-Luther’s reaction is to bend down to your height and lightly hold your face in his hands. “Y/N, Y/N, listen to me for just a moment. It’ll be okay, I’m here and I won’t let anything hurt you.” He places a kiss on your forehead and wipes the tears streaming down your face. When he sees that you’re getting worse, he’ll take your hand and have you sit down next to him with his arm around you.

-While you explain why you’re so upset he’ll rub your arms and legs and kiss you on the forehead occasionally. “Dear, all of this will go away. I’m here and I will protect you with all my being, even if I have to protect you from yourself.” After a while, he’ll lay you down so your head is resting in his lap and he’s looking down at you. He’ll hold your hand and let you squeeze it with all your might if you’re frustrated. “Breathe, sweetie. Slow down. Let’s talk about it, alright? I’ll sit here for as long as you need.” He smiles down at you and your heart fills with warmth. He loved you with all his might and would do anything to make you happy.

-Afterwards, to lighten the mood Luther will put on your favorite songs and dance with you. During one of the upbeat songs, he’ll lift you in the air and spin you around. He knows how much you love when he lifts you up with ease. But when a slower song comes on, he’ll pull you in close and wrap his arms around your waist and sway softly. “Y/N, I love you with all my heart, okay?”

Strawberry Kisses

Gavin x Reader

The soft and cloudy Saturday afternoon was one of the few days Gavin had off work from the DPD this week. He was booked to the brim before this and you barely ever saw him. He got home late at ungodly hours and left early in the morning. The most you’ve gotten out of him this past week was a goodnight kiss on Tuesday when he came home a bit early. God, did you miss him. You had planned out a nice date with him for today, but after seeing how worn out he was, you decided to just spend it inside together and take it easy.

Early that morning, you snuck out of bed to make him a nice breakfast. He usually left for work before you got up and you weren’t even sure if the man ate. Slipping into the kitchen, you made him a nice bowl of warm, creamy, cinnamon oatmeal with a cup of coffee. In the distance you could hear the patter of his footsteps from the bedroom making their way into the kitchen. The aroma of the food must have woken him from his sleep. “I made you breakfast. I wasn’t sure if you’ve been eating much this week and I wanted to make sure you ate a good meal for once.” you said, concentrating on making the right consistency for the oatmeal. You heard a small chuckle from behind you and felt a familiar pair of arms wrap around your waist and a head being placed on your shoulder from behind. “You know I usually just drink some coffee in the morning. I really don’t have time to make breakfast.” His voice was still soft and drowsy from just waking. It sounded like music to you.

You set the porcelain dishes of food on the table for him and let him go eat. You weren’t awfully hungry so you just grabbed some juice from the fridge and some strawberries. Looking in your perfiels, you could see Gavin chowing away at his meal like a teenage boy after hockey practice. You were just happy that he was well fed for once this week.

Leaning up against the counter, legs crossed, with a handful of strawberries you looked at the exhausted cop in front of you. You couldn’t imagine how stressed out he was from work. “How’s breakfast? I hope you like it. I don’t know the last time you ate a warm meal.” He broke his daze of shoveling food into his mouth to look up at you. “It’s really good. Better than the shitty coffee they have at work. It’s not even hot most of the time.” He looked a mess. Food all over his face, dark circles, and his hair looked like it hadn’t been brushed since the last time he had kissed you. He really had some cleaning up to do.

“Baby, when your done can you take a shower? You really need it.” You giggled to yourself as you poked fun at him, trying to make light of his exhaustion. His eyes motioned up to you and his eyebrow cocked, “Haha, very funny. Make fun of the stinky guy.” You couldn’t help but laugh. “Just because you’re stinky doesn’t mean that I don’t love you any less, Gavin.” A faint smile smeared across his oatmeal covered face. You reached behind you and tore off a piece of paper towel from the roll and walked over to him. “I can do it myself, Y/N.” But you simply ignored him and toweled his face clean. You got a few grunts in opposition, but nothing too serious. You placed a simple kiss on his forehead and picked up his dishes and set them in the sink.

Before you could even turn around, his arms were snaked around your waist and his body was pressed against yours. His warm breath tickled your neck as he sunk into you. He cooed into your ear and gave your stomach a soft rub. “I really missed you. I know I’ve been gone all week and it’s honestly shitty. It’s just a big case, baby. I’m sure I’ll be home more often when this blows over.” You felt his scruff graze your cheek as he spoke. He really hadn’t taken care of himself this week at all. He hadn’t shaved, he had barely showered, and he’s barely ate. He was truly running on empty and you felt terrible for him.

    “Gavin, as much as I love you, you really need a shower. I’ll still be here when you get out.” You giggled and broke loose from his grasp. You heard him groan in the distance but he complied. As he made his way to the bathroom, you turned around just to look at him. He honestly took your breath away just by existing. He was the rock in your life. Pulled his weight and even more with you. Grateful was an understatement when thinking about him. He took care of you, loved you, and put his entire soul into you. You just wish that he would be able to take better care of himself, but you understood how ungodly busy and exhausted he was.  

    As he took a shower, you made your way into his room and pulled out a fresh set of clothes for Gavin. Taking them under your arm, you slowly opened the door to not disturb him and set the clothes in the bathroom for him to change into after his shower.

Heading back into the kitchen, you continued eating a few strawberries while waiting for him to return. You heard the squeak of the water turning off and felt butterflies in your stomach from just thinking about spending a day with him.

After a few minutes of waiting, you saw him coming around the corner from the hallway. He finally looked clean and refreshed after a long week. His clothes looked presentable and he finally smelled tolerable. He looked visibly happier and calmer. “Do you feel better, honey?” He smiled and gave you a soft kiss on the lips. “Mhm, a lot better. Thanks for the clothes. I probably wouldn’t have put on new clothes. I wish I could take you out, but I’m just exhausted. How about we sit down and watch a movie? That’s romantic, right?” He smiled and took your hand and led you to the living room.

Putting on a silly romcom, he sat down next to you and pulled you into his lap. He rested his head on your chest and watched the movie in ambiance. His hands trailed over your stomach and floated over you softly. After a while, you rested your head in the crook of his neck and just breathed in his scent. The smell of coffee, soap, and his natural scent radiated off of him and put you in a trance. “I really do love you, Gavin. I wouldn’t want to be with anyone else,” you hum into his neck. He was a very sentimental man, but he was sweet to the core. “I love you too, Y/N. Maybe one day you’ll be a Reed. But for now, just give me a kiss to hold me over.” A glow steamed on your face as you slowly leaned in and gave him a series of soft and tender kisses. He hummed against your lips and gave you a soft grin. “Your lips taste sweet like strawberries. I love it, please kiss me more.” He whispers against your lips before he continues you kiss you. Your insides melt like goo as he wraps you up in his arms. “You’ll always have my strawberry kisses, dear.” The quietness in the room set you in a state of feeling as if you two were the only ones in existence. And honestly, that didn’t sound too bad. As long as you had him, you had the whole world.

The Boys Reacting to You Bringing Home a Puppy

Connor

Puppy???

He’s too damn excited. He immediately picks up the baby and hold him up in the air near his face. His happiness and excitement over this new companion cannot be contained.

Expect him to baby talk with the dog but in a normal voice. It’s slightly off-putting at first, but it’s really too cute to not enjoy.

He enjoys taking care of his new friend and is grateful you brought him home even though you didn't notify him.

Markus

“Baby...why did you bring home a puppy?”

He’s shocked that you went through the whole process of adopting them without contacting him at all. He’s a bit taken back and apprehensive, but acknowledges that he has to care for it and does his best.

Markus isn’t the most affectionate man, but he tries. He always puts the small puppy on his lap and pets them when he has a chance. Later, he spoils the life out of that dog. That dog is truly his best friend and nothing could come between them.

Hank

“Oh what the fuck, Y/N? Could you have at least texted me? Please don’t come home with random animals without telling me next time.”

He’s a bit nervous on how Sumo will react to the new puppy, but oddly enough the transition is smooth with the older dog. They get along quite nicely and they go together like peas in a pod.

Hank secretly fell in love with the puppy at first glance but makes it a point to hassle you about bringing home animals without his knowledge.

He’s constantly baby-talking this puppy. 24/7. He can’t get away from him for a single moment. Sometimes you wonder if he loves the puppy more than he loves you. But in reality, he’s so grateful for this new companion.

Simon

It really isn’t a surprise to him that you brought home a puppy. Hell, he even suggested it. Since he is a housekeeping Android, he is skilled in taking care of pets and he truly misses it.

He spoils the life out of this puppy. Walks, treats, special food, cute toys, nice beds, and really anything you could imagine. This puppy is basically his child and he wants to pamper it as if it he gave birth to it.

He’s so sweet and loving to your new fur-baby. He couldn’t be happier with the choice you made to bring them home.
