I'm traveling for work, and I started downloading all the d2 updates on my laptop yesterday morning, right? It's not done after 24+ hours :/

Call me a hopeless optimist, but I don't believe that this is the end of Destiny for even a minute. It's such a beloved story and community for so many people, even if they don't log on as much or at all anymore. Plus, the potential for how incredibly successful a d3 could be is too great for it to be thrown in the garbage forever. If Bungie was given the right resources and funding by Sony, I genuinely could see D3 being a better game than D1/2. I know they've got the creative juices and stories to tell.

I'm a child again. D1 and tomodachi life are the only games I play. I made all my favorite destiny characters in tomodachi life. Sometimes, it doesn't get better than this.

I really really really love that bael wants drifter to mentor him, teach him what he learned from being a dredgen, etc... and drifter does want to mentor him at least a little bit. there's no way in hell he isn't seeing a reflection of his younger self in bael. he KNOWS what he's feeling, at least he thinks he does at first. and he thinks he can be saved. drifter wants !! to teach him what he learned from being a dredgen !!

the thing is, his answer isn't what bael wants to hear !! bc what he learned from it is the bloodshed isn't worth it, 'one albatross for another,' and he's/everyone around him is better off without the cult !!

Bael wants a mentor. Drifter wants to be his mentor. And somehow still neither want the same thing.

Hey team, I haven't been here in awhile so idk if destiny Tumblr still lives among the sort of still dry present game. I just have something to drop for the lore and story ppl that I learned about years ago and haven't heard ANYTHING about since. (Maybe I simply am dumb and out of the loop tho)

I keep coming back to the lore entry from the Ghost stories book in Forsaken that talks about the ghost hunter Cyrell. The entry is super short, but in summary it is from the perspective of his Ghost, Strain. Strain just talks about Cyrell and how he's like, a freak and kills ghosts because he doesn't believe in resurrecting people without their consent basically idk. He's also in search of an awoken who can answer a question for him, but we don't know what the question is, just that he's obsessed with finding the answer.

I just wanted to sort of remind ppl this exists? And I find it super interesting that there's a guardian out there just blasting ghosts, and nobody seems to gaf. Idk man I just think it would be neat to use some of this in like a season, sorry, episode, that's like an enemy from within sort of murder mystery vibe. I am a huge fan of this tiny lore entry.
