I’m also wondering, in the relationship chart White Noise put up for us, it specifies that Murrit might have some flushed feelings for Dismas - would revealing these affect their relationship overly so you think? Or has that revelation already happened and I’m just dense. Either way, amazing comic!

I think the first thing to think about with this is how a Repitonian troll takes such a concept in the first place, which generally isn’t well or isn’t at all. Having your feelings switch on a soulmate, especially a bonded one, despite the period of time is a taxing and heavy ordeal on ones emotions. Part of the reason as to why it’s so uncommon is because the general idea of a switch is not only frowned upon but also it could ruin the relationship as a whole regardless of intent.

So naturally were Murrit to say something about it, ESPECIALLY at any point as of current, it would be a bombshell. A really immense, mentally catastrophic nuke of re-evaluation. Whether you believe it or not, Murrit cares a great deal about his relationships and his friends. He isn’t so willing to place his thoughts and feelings above Dismas’s and ruin what he believes to be one of the only great things his life has ever given him.

Murrit deep down is a character who worries about hurting other people because of what he was in the past. He is content with his postion and has moved away from that past significantly more than the rest of his friends, but it hinders his ability to make connections properly. In his mind, what happened between him and Dismas ran its course and now what he feels is something else. That Dismas is more than just a person with the ability to make him better and know who he REALLY is. His partnership with him was more than just one thing.

But when the deal is that you risk it all with the potential of losing everything, after already going through a situation like that before? Sometimes it’s better to put the cards away.
