the way teenagers are treated these days is wild. when i was a teenager we were all watching porn, jerking off, and going to horror movies with 3000 gallons of blood. Nowadays they make kids get a permission slip to watch anything darker than Barney the Dinosaur. Insane.

When I see ppl draw jerbel I just think to myself how it literally doesn’t look like the original characters at all and honestly just feels like an OC with the names of Mabel and Jerry. Not the characters themselves LOL  especially with how mischaracterized they are..

i figure the people of tumblr would love to know about my oc x canon for jerry, so here goes nothing…(plus a drawing of him at the end)

- his full name is Quinn Gatlin, no middle name yet 🥹

- about 45 years old? late forties at least

- would probably sound somewhat like harley sawyer (who is another one of my faves but that’s a can of worms for another time)

- jerry’s assistant at first, he starts crushing on jerry but keeps it secret until jerry confesses to him

- little fun fact, he used to be my oc x canon for strahm! but i wanted to reuse him considering i only ever thought of strahm with canon characters, like hoffman and lindsey, so i basically completely changed his personality and design.. (um lmk if u guys wanna see what he used to look like)

- touch avoidant around everyone who isn’t jerry

- also he’s a very clean person. like how jerry spends a lot of time getting himself ready he takes his hygiene very seriously

- likes history a lot (this kinda came to my brain when making him so this is canonical)(i would like to think he educated himself on HORSE history just to wow jerry)(it, indeed, did wow him)

- straightforward, doesn’t joke around a lot but he’s sarcastic sometimes

- cisgender male, he/him

- gay, tho he isn’t openly out until he starts dating jerry

andddd here’s my drawing of him! he’d be somewhat tan, brown hair, kinda hazel eyes. some grey hairs. maybe i’ll make a colored ref sheet… who knows 👀

honestly i’ve grown away from hoffstrahm since i first discovered it bc i kinda was like ‘this is my only option’ but as a strahm fan i really love agentshipping (lindsey/peter) now. i don’t like reading fics with the couple violent towards each other so i love agentshipping SOOO much more. also nobody talks about hoffman x literally anyone else he has better chemistry with (like how you mentioned rigg ) and it rlly bothers me bc im not rlly a hoffman fan, hence why i don’t talk about him very often, but like!! 😭

another thing i wanted to point out after i rewatched hoppers— they gave titus/robot jerry WAYYY more chest hair than jerry actually has, which is funny because the scientists literally have access to seeing how much chest hair jerry has, with him only being in his undershirt.

i noticed this even before i was able to rewatch it and get screenshots of both jerry and titus’ chests but my only thought now is. did titus like… request that??? because we see how much he cares about his ‘plumage’ so it isn’t like a crazy concept 😭 of all things he could have enhanced about jerry he wanted the chest hair to be thicker and that’s so funny to me

honestly i love how jerry is shown with a bunch of horse stuff in his bedroom like. He’s probably very interested in horses yet just doesn’t speak about it unless asked (and even then he has to refrain from info dumping about them too much)

Like brother just another me with interests he’s embarrassed of 🥹 I feel this is like the one insecurity he has bc he seems so confident in himself otherwise

i rewatched hoppers for the first time the other day since it came out on disney+ and i wanted to add that he’s just biased towards horses like he has always liked horses but even when he grows up and stops caring for animals as much he still favors them a lot. he doesn’t care for other animals before hoppers happens, but horses? He fricken loves them
