Today's pattern is for Furret, from Pokemon! I just did a comission for a looooong black cat plushie for a friend's cosplay (which will be the subject of a future post!) and decided to adapt the pattern to also make one of my favorite Pokemon in Generation II.

This week is special, since I have a SECOND pattern to post - Butterfree! This extra-special pattern is one I've had in the works for awhile. Today's pattern is Applin! He's suprisingly complex for such a little guy, requiring 7 different colors of yarn and a variety of different stitches. He's a great project for using up leftover yarn though, since he doesn't require much yardage of any one color. You can find a pattern to make him for FREE over on my blog here. I'm back this week with a nice and easy pattern - Staryu! With some slightly better photos than usual, too - I'm trying some new lighting and backgrounds (made from leftover quilting fabric) to jazz things up a bit. Let me know what you think!

Hey everyone! Sorry about this, but there's no new crochet pattern this week. We just moved to a new place, and were surprised to find that the previous owner took ALL of the window treatments and hardware down when they left - even the blinds!

In the interest of having some degree of privacy, I decided to prioritize hanging new blinds and sewing curtains during my crafting time this week. I normally don't like curtain-making since it's such a tedious process, but it's actually been a good excuse to use up some old home decor fabrics and trims in my stash. I especially liked how the double drape in the photo came out. The green is a sheer I bought on clearance like 10 years ago from Joann's I think? And the leafy gold is one I actually ordered recently from Mood Fabrics. You can order it from them here if you like it.
