Fucking Matsuda, man will die if you so much as poke him in the side; he's incredibly obvious about it too.
. Which two characters have tickle fights all the time?
Matt and Mello end up in tickle fights a lot, usually initiated by Matt actually, because he's a little shit when it comes to the other (he's the typical winner of these battles of theirs, unless Mello manages to get his death spots right away).
Mello absolutely hates Near for his perfection and monotonous personality, but Matt decides to prove to Mello that Near isn't the stone cold boy he thinks he is.
Tickle fic!
In the corner of his eye, Mello watched as Near lay down, a stuffed animal in his hands outstretched in front of him.
It angered him.
Seeing the genius boy anywhere close to him caused a burning rage to flare in his mind and chest; he hated the Snow White hair and his plain expression.
Never did that little boy want to show his emotions, not in front of Mello, at least.
“Hey buddy.” Matt said, walking into the living area.
What was worse than the little boy laying on the floor with a stuffed animal held out in front of his face?

“Hello Matt.” Near said in that condescending tone of voice.
“Hey man, what ya up to?” Matt asked as he sat next to Mello.
Mello didn’t answer for a second, feeling a little betrayed that Matt would even speak to Near, but ended up saying something nonetheless.
“Nothing.”
Now, Mello was a pretty emotional person. He also showed his emotions on his face like crazy, never really being able to hide them.
So when Matt saw his eyes squint and watched his body stay tense as he sat on the couch, he knew something was wrong.
“Hey, dude. Are you good?”
“Yep. Just peachy.”
Okay, now he’s just being sarcastic.
“Dude, talk to me.”
Matt looked at his friend, hoping he could somehow coax him into admitting at least a little bit of what was bothering him, when he watched Mello’s nod to a certain boy in the room.
Of course it was Near.
“Why man?”
“He’s… he’s so annoying! I just can’t stand him!”
Matt was careful not to make it obvious who they were talking about in fear of hurting Near’s feelings; after all, he did like the boy.
“He… he acts like a baby.” Mello whispered.
“So? He practically is one.”
“It’s just… why should a baby surpass me?” Mello said, getting slightly louder than the previous hushed voice.
“Dude, he’s smart is all. That has nothing to do with his personality… kinda.”
They looked at the little boy, seemingly completely unaware of what was going on.
“Okay… just… he’s adorable. I love him. He’s actually a lot more emotional than he seems.”
Mello rolled his eyes at that.
“Whatever. I get it. You just love him. Go hang out with him if you like him so much.”
Oh. So that’s what this was.
“Are you… jealous?” Matt asked.
Mello was quiet as his eyes widened.
“No dude! That’s so dumb!” Mello yelled at Matt.
“You know you’re like… my best friend, right? I love Near but you’re like…” Matt held his hand up high to signify his love for Mello, “…way up here.”
Mello’s eyes softened a little. “Thanks… you are too.” He said, implying Matt was just as important to him, if not greater.
“Just watch.” Matt said, standing up and walking over to Near.
Mello was slightly disappointed yet curious as to what Matt was going to do with Near.
“Hey bud.” Matt said, sitting on his folded legs next to Near.
“Hello Matt.” Near repeated what he said before.
Faster than Mello thought he could blink, Matt reached out and clawed his hand into Near’s stomach.
The atmosphere completely changed, almost giving Mello whiplash at how sudden it seemed.
Near started giggling. His eyes scrunched up and his face was darkening considerably.
Near curled into himself as much as Matt would allow, yet the older boy kept attacking him.
Mello could feel the embarrassment radiating off of Near.
“I love doing this to him.” Matt said to Mello.
Near felt his chest flutter with nervousness and frantic giggles escaped his lips unceremoniously.
He was incredibly embarrassed.
“Yeah… he’s kinda cute. Like a baby.” Mello said, attempting to make Near blush more.
Maybe this would be entertaining. Or maybe Near was actually adorable…
Mello shook his head in disbelief; he can’t think that about Near, Near is bad.
But his face is so sweet.
Matt looked at Mello from the floor expectantly, and with a curled up and frantic Near under him, he allowed Mello to sit on the other side.
Mello hesitantly followed suit.
Mello’s hand went into a claw shape, and almost experimentally, he lowered it onto Near’s stomach.
Near’s giggles increased in volume.
“See, isn’t it fun? It’s so cute how he goes weak at just some tickling. And he gets all embarrassed about it, too.”
Mello looked down at the boy. His face was darker than he’d ever seen anyones face as pale as his turn, his hair was disheveled, his eyes were closed shut.
He pitied him.
How embarrassing was this? Two people above him, exploiting an incredible weakness of his, and all he could do was break down and laugh like crazy.
Maybe they should stop.
“Uh, Matt? Not to “ruin the fun”, but I think he might die if we don’t leave him alone.” Mello said.
“Yeah, I guess so. I’ll let him live.” Matt said, slowly moving his hand away from Near.
The boy breathed. He could breath. He relished in the calm he felt, giggles every once in a while coming out as he lay there.
Then the embarrassment hit him.
Mello and Matt just tickled him silly. They clawed at his tummy and watched him and said he was cute; he was completely and utterly embarrassed.
And he liked being tickled.
He blushed even more as these thoughts rushed through his head.
Near covered his face with his hands.
“See dude? Isn’t it cute? Anytime you need something to cheer you up, just tickle him.”
Near let out a high pitch groan, and the boys looked down.
“Come on Near, don’t pretend you don’t like it!” Matt said.
Wait a second. This changes a lot. Near liked being tickled? He was okay with this? He wanted them to poke and prod at him and treat him like the child he is?
Mello’s eyebrows knit together as he looked at Matt.
“Wait, he likes it?”
“No!” Near yelled, interrupting whatever Matt was going to say.
Mello just looked at Matt confused, hoping he’d get an answer.
“He’s just embarrassed. He likes it.”
“Be quiet!” Near yelled childishly.
Mello looked at the boy on the floor. Near was acting so different than he was used to. The hard exterior he knew was shattered before his eyes, and he saw an embarrassed and sensitive boy revealed.
“Near, there isn’t anything wrong with… liking it. If it brings you joy, that’s cool.” Mello told the young boy.
“I don’t like it!” Near continued to claim, his hands still covering his face.
“Why don’t you show us your face, Near?” Matt said as he grabbed Near’s wrists and pulled his hands away from his face.
Near looked up at Matt with his big doe eyes, and for a second Mello thought he felt something akin to affection.
Mello squinted his eyes and put his tongue to his cheek. He fought about whether this was okay or not, whether he should think Near was adorable and care for him because of what he’s seen and done.
After a few seconds, he gives up, and allows himself to indulge in the adorable mess that was Near.
“I would like to go to my room now.” Near said, looking directly at Matt.
“Did you not just have fun?” Matt asked Near.
Near sighed and pouted.
“I would like to go to my room.” He said.
Mello didn’t blame him. He was probably feeling overwhelmed from the amount of teasing he had just endured, and if what Matt had said was true, his secret being revealed to Mello.
Matt let Near’s wrists go.
“Okay, okay. You can go. But don’t think I’ll be any easier on you next time.”
Near got up and quickly ran to his room, avoiding Mello and Matt’s eyes.
“Next time… insinuating there will be a next time?” Mello asked Matt.
“Yeah, I tickle him a lot, it’s kind of our thing. I attack him randomly, he gets all embarrassed. I think I teased him a little too much in front of you though. He can’t handle just my teasing when it’s just us, let alone in front of someone else.” Matt stated.
Mello couldn’t deny the urge he had to see this dynamic play out in front of him again.

WELL THAT’S QUITE A THROWBACK. SURE, HERE’S THE OT3
MATT: pretty ticklish but irritatingly (to mello) okay with it. he just loves to laugh - sometimes he even asks to be tickled if he’s had a rough day or something. and he REALLY loves to be tickled while he’s stoned. he’ll even sprawl out across mello’s and/or near’s laps and whine at them til they tickle his sides, and then just lie there heavy and lethargic and giggly for as long as they’ll go. cuddly as a fuckin’ puppy. it’s not cute, mello insists. (it’s ADORABLE.)
amongst the three of them, he’s the one who’s the most of a ler. he’s pretty gentle, but god help you if you think that means merciful. he’ll chuckle along with his lee’s laughter, turn hugs into tickling their sides, and press tickly kisses into their neck, but he’ll also torment them with light, soft touches until they’re twitching and wheezy with laughter. and he has no qualms about pinning down their wrists or sitting on their ankles to get them helpless under him.
MELLO: he’s the one who’s deathly ticklish (pun fully intended). screechy laughter if you so much as brush your fingers across his side, thrashing and flailing, cussing out his ler. he’s one big ball of sensitivity (that crop top tho), but his worst spots are his underarms and the backs of his knees, especially with light, teasy touches. also, tickle talk gets him bad. he’ll turn bright red and start spluttering. save mello. ultimately he actually does enjoy it a lot, but he doesn’t like seeming so vulnerable to anyone but people he’s really close to, so even in private, he won’t let anyone even try except matt. (and, after years and years, near.)
he’s a vindictive fuckin’ ler. no mercy. puts all that mafia interrogation training to use. constantly frustrated by the fact that neither matt nor near is as affected by tickling as he is.
NEAR: totally immune; mello’s been trying to get him for years. but then one day someone at wammy’s or the SPK or whatever happens to brush their fingers across his soles and he lets out the tiniest squeak and they all pause for a minute and then they’re like. HMMMM. when someone really goes in on his feet, he flops around a little, but mostly is baffled by the whole affair, and so he just kind of lies there hiccupping out squeaks and soft giggles until it ends.
he’s pretty neutral on being a ler (so much effort), and he certainly doesn’t have any of the mello’s vindictiveness, but he really does love to see his boyfriends laughing. he’ll happily tickle matt whenever he asks for it, and sometimes slides his hands under matt’s shirt of his own will to stroke and pinch at his sides and belly til he’s snorting with laughter. when it comes to mello, he can’t really be assed to control his squirming, and so he’ll enlist the help of either matt or handcuffs to keep him down while he shrieks with laughter and near goes in very slowly and methodically on the backs of his knees and that’s always when mello gets most #rekt.

So I've actually answered two of the questions for this one already because someone sent in an ask for a couple of the questions, and I stand by what I said then, that Matsuda is by far the most ticklish character, lord have mercy on his soul.
. Who's the character that most people would assume is ticklish but actually isn't?
So I don't think anyone would assume that they were, but the Shinigami aren't ticklish at all, that's just not how their bodies work. Ryuk likes to tease Light with it sometimes, teasing him about how silly humans are to have such an obvious weakness. Light's usual method for dealing with such comments is cutting off his apple supply for a week.
. Who's the character that everyone gangs up on and tickles?
Mello gets ganged up on a lot by Matt and the other members of his group, because it's just too easy not to take advantage of his obvious sensitivity (plus he's so grumpy all the time, everyone wants to see a smile on his face).
. Who's the character that somehow knows everyone's tickle spots and reveals them to others?
Sayu isn't featured much in the show, but I feel like she's someone who's probably good at intuitively figuring that stuff out (and being an ass about it). I also like to believe that L is weirdly skilled at guessing people's worst spots because of his whole detective thing, and it freaks everyone out due to how accurate it is (especially Light lol as he's been desperately trying to keep his sensitivity a secret for most of his life).
. Who's the character with one specific tickle spot that only one other person knows about?
Misa accidentally discovered that Light's neck is ticklish, when he was reluctantly allowing their one daily make-out moment (their relationship was such a disaster omg). She went to kiss his neck and he flinched away with this stupid smile and said he was tried. But Misa's persistent and more observant than people give her credit for, and immediatelly realized what was going on. She's tried to tickle him a couple other times, but it only works if she catches him by surprise, otherwise he'll shut it down immediatelly. He's made her promise never to do it in front of the others.
. Who's the most likely to win gang tickle wars?
Probably Sayu or Matt, both of them are the most skilled when it comes to tickling, and have only average sensitivity themselves.
. Which character has a kink for tickling?

LIGHT like he tries to avoid tickling in general, because he finds it weak and childish. Because of that, he never really got any exposure to it. I think he knew that he was ticklish, at least at some point, because of Sayu when he was a lot younger, but he hasn't gotten tickled since then and he believed he had grown out of it. That is until he met Misa who showed him different (and then L discovered it and his life became a living nightmare).

This is the other question I already answered, being Matt and Mello because c'mon guys. Of course they do. Mello usually loses these tickle fights, but he keeps engaging in them anyway on the off chance that he'll win (plus maybe he doesn't hate them as much as he insists).
As a little kid, Near would lay in L’s lap when he sat cross cross apple sauce, and they would play a game where L would put his hand in a claw, and he’d lower it to Near. Near would scrunch his shoulders up and giggle, unaware of when L would actually strike. This was before Near got embarrassed about liking tickles.

P.s. I went to sleep thinking about this little moment so here it is:
Ryuk has discovered his love for these juicy red fruits in Light's universe. What were they called again? Right. Apples. He really wanted more apples and knew of only one way to get them.
Light.
"I'm home... hello?" Light called out. Guess no one was home. That's perfect. He'd have all the time and space to himself without interruptions to carry out writing names in the Death Note.
"Hey Light." Ryuk started, but was cut off by Light who was eager to go to his room.
"Not now Ryuk. I've got lots of names to take care of and little time to do this." Even though he was a Shinigami, Light still acted as though he needn't bother caring about what Ryuk needed.
A few moments pass, Light has already turned on his TV and started writing names down in order to bring justice to this world. And Ryuk has grown impatient.
"Light, I need you to get me more of those apples. They're so delicious. I can't wait any longer."
"Ryuk just be patient. I'm almost done here." Light said calmly. His back was turned to Ryuk and had zero intentions of stopping his work.
After a few minutes pass, Ryuk gets too restless and starts thinking of ways he can get Light to just bring him some damn apples. It's not that hard.
"Light will you just take a second to bring me some!" Ryuk said, grabbing Light's shoulder and shaking him.
Light refuses, and that broke it for Ryuk's patience.
"Fine. I'll just have to make you stop then." Ryuk lifted Light up from his chair and dragged him to the bed, pinning him down so that Light was trapped in his grip.
"Ryuk what the hehehehlllll!?" Light feels his stomach vibrated as Ryuk goes to measures he never thought he would have to.
"Ahahaha stopppp!! Ryuk this is rihihidiculous!" Light couldn't manage to get out his hold for some reason. "Let me gohoho, why do you neeheheed apples so bahahahad!?"
"Because!! I want them!!! And you'll get them for me one way or another!!" Ryuk demanded, holding his arms now with one hand and poking his ribs with the other.
"I've seen you humans doing this and know it can be a great strategy for one to give up without any real damage. Is it working Light? ~"
Light starts blushing, cackling as he realizes he's far more ticklish than he imagined. He hadn't been tickled since he was a kid, but man he really hasn't outgrown it.
"Ahahahahaha Rihihiyuk plehehehehease, Ihihi cahahahan't!!" Light tries all he can to get out of Ryuk's hold. He finally realizes all he has to do is get some stupid apples for this cursed Shinigami he's stuck with.
"Okayhehehehay fine!! I'll get your stuhuhupid apples!!"
With that, Ryuk let's him go, and Light falls to the ground, breathing heavily to catch his breath.
"Jeez you have some kind of crazy addiction or something. Ugh." Light collects himself and goes to the kitchen.
Where did mom leave the apples? They're not where they usually are. Could we be out? Ugh. I really don't want to waste time going to the store. Oh well. His loss. What a waste of energy that was.
"We don't have any Ryuk. You'll just have to wait until we get more." Light said, sitting back down and grabbing his pencil.
"WHAT!? What do you MEAN you're out?? Go get some more!!" Ryuk wasn't having it. He grabs Light again and pins him on his stomach, grabbing his waist, sides, ribs, whatever it took to finally get the words out of Light that he'll go get more.
"Nahahahaha dammit Ryuk!! I cahahahan't, I hahahahave to write these nahahahames now!!"
Light withstands Ryuk's torment until a it was too much. He finally agrees to get more apples for Ryuk. That damn Shinigami. What a distraction he could be.

Heyo! So given the grand total of headcanons this event was an odd number, I decided to throw in my own for an even 70! It was a hard choice, but given I'm rewatching it and also the recent amount of tickle content I've seen in the community lately- I bring you my first watched anime ever (technically that was Naruto but shhh): Death Note! :D (Lee!L to be exact- hehehe)
This takes place during the Yotusba arc, so spoilers ahead! (Also cause like- that's the only arc I could realistically make them have tickle fights in- if you know you know)
“Ryuzaki…” Light didn’t know where to even begin with his question. He knew the answer, but a part of him wanted to believe otherwise.
“Yes?” L turned that obsidian gaze at him, half of his face luminated by his computer screen. The sight would have been more intimidating had he not been fighting off a yawn. “What is it?”
“I..” Light shook his head, steeling his nerves. “Have you been drinking water? Like- at all? I swear since we’ve been cuffed together, I’ve never seen you consume anything beyond tea and coffee.” And sweets- but that would have sent them off a different tangent.
L stared at him, nearly motionless. His eyes widened a fraction, the only indication he was surprised. Light raised a brow at him, waiting.
A stare down. Finally…
“Coffee has water in it.” L offered, voice somewhat sheepish. Light nearly fell out of his chair with how hard he rolled his eyes.
“You’re getting water. Now.” He got up from his chair, making his way towards the office kitchen with little luck. “You’re probably so dehydrated, Kira could make you spontaneously combust!”
“Interesting theory. Is this your way of saying you’re Kira?”
“I’m not-” No. Don’t play into his game. “Water. Now.”
“I’m not thirsty, though.” L remained, an unshakable stone despite Light’s insistent pulling. “Besides, if I drink anything now, I’ll need to use the bathroom.”
“Good- it’ll give you a reason to stretch.” Frustrated, he walked over and grabbed the back of L’s chair, dragging it behind him on his way. “You should consider investing in a chair with better wheels.”
“Maybe I’ll get a chair with no wheels at all.” L- the little bastard- hung onto the desk like a stubborn child. Light felt his temper rise at how ridiculous it was. Wasn’t he older than him? Why did Light- a freshly graduated college student have more sense of self-preservation than this blockhead of a detective? “Really, you worry too much.”
“I’ll give you five seconds.” Light glared, hands on his hips.
“35 less than usual?”
Screw it. “Come here!” Light didn’t know why- maybe it was the hour, his frustration, or just because the other day he saw Watari do it and now he wanted to see it for himself, but he proceeded to grab L’s sides from behind, drilling into his ribs rapidly.
The reaction was surprising and instantaneous and utterly perfect.
“Gah! Aheahahhahahah! Dohohon’t, thihihihs is stuhuhuhupid! Gheahahahah, ghehehet oohohohff!” L cried, unlatching from the desk as he curled up in a ball in his chair. Somehow, the damn thing didn’t fall over- giving Light the chance he needed. Still tickling, he dragged him far enough from his computer until he could comfortably walk to the sink.
L gasped and groaned, hands on his sides and mind suddenly fuzzy with overstimulation. Residue giggles and laughs broke through his slow deep breaths, his eyes closed and his face pressed into his knees.
Something chilly pressed into his hand, making him look up. Light stood before him with a glass of ice water.
“Drink.” He ordered, even when L frowned. “Ryuzaki.”
“Fine, fine.” He took the cup, frowning the entire time he drank from it. Finishing it off, he showed it to the other boy with a pout- very much like a child made to eat his vegetables. “Happy?”
“Very much so.” Light refilled the cup before returning to the desks, forcing L to stand up and walk back. “And you even stretched. See? Was that so hard?”
L’s sharp jab to his ribs before sitting down was all the answer he got, sputtering water everywhere while the other man smiled.

Snow blanketed the Yagami household, the glow of Christmas lights casting warm colors against the windows. Inside, the atmosphere was peaceful—well, mostly.
Light sat on the couch, arms crossed, watching his younger sister Sayu tear into her presents with a giddy enthusiasm he hadn’t displayed in years. He was too old for that now, too composed. Or at least, that’s what he told himself.
His father, Soichiro, watched him from across the room with a knowing glint in his eyes. “You used to be just like that, you know,” he mused, setting his cup of tea down.
Light huffed, shaking his head. “I was never that excitable.”
“Oh? That so?” Soichiro leaned forward, and before Light could react, his father’s large hands had grabbed onto his sides.
“D-Dad—! Whahahat are you dohohoing?!” Light's carefully crafted composure shattered instantly as laughter burst from his lips. He twisted, trying to escape, but Soichiro was relentless.
“Just reminding you that you’re not too old to have fun.” His fingers danced up to Light’s ribs, squeezing gently in a way that sent his son into a fit of helpless giggles.
“Dahahad! Plehehease!” Light gasped, legs kicking as he flailed against the ticklish attack. “Ihih’m nohohot a kihihid anymore!”
Soichiro chuckled, ruffling Light’s hair as he finally showed mercy. “Maybe not, but you’ll always be my son.”
Light sat up, breathless, face flushed—though whether from laughter or embarrassment, he refused to admit. But despite himself, he found a small smile tugging at his lips.
“Merry Christmas, Light.”
“…Merry Christmas, Dad.”
And for a moment, in the warmth of his family’s home, Kira was nothing more than a boy laughing with his father.

I’ve just had caffeine and feel good: I shall now share some Lee!L headcanons! :3 (below the cut for length and potential spoilers)
Light found out L was ticklish from Watari. The detective was so far gone exhaustion wise he nearly fell out of his chair- the older man had grabbed onto him to steady him and they got a sleepy “hehe, that tihickles.”
He doesn’t use it all the time- Light knows it’s ridiculously childish and the last thing they need during the Kira investigation: but when it’s late into the night and he’s desperate for anything beyond data and research, he’ll start tickling L into breaks and eventually sleep.
L is the definition of a brat when tickled: he’s self-proclaimed “childish and hates losing”- and in a way, being tickled is like losing. He gets all pouty about it much to Light’s amusement.
L is also very petty; big on “an eye for an eye”- even if it’s tickling. Only issue is L is completely defenseless when tickled; so he gets maybe- what, one tickle in before he’s fighting like an ally cat trying to wiggle away from Light’s vengeful fingers. He never gets too far- both cause of the chains and because he kinda likes it?
The most infectious laughter EVER. His giggle fits are smile inducing and endearing as all hell. Even the most grumpy of people will warm up to it: it’s that funny and cute sounding.
I kinda love the idea of L being loud as hell when tickled? He‘s got such a soft monotone voice but when he’s laughing he’s so boisterous and shrieky; the only time you’ll ever really hear him shout really.
His ribs are very ticklish, though his feet are absolutely his worst spot. Problem with that though is if you tickle him there he will kick you in the face. Light once tried it and came in with a broken nose. His stomach and knees are good giggle spots though!
I also like the idea of his back being ticklish? Not so much that he’ll arch and scream but more the kind of ticklish where it feels good. It’s likely one of the few things that’ll get him to rest; especially if your his S/O.
Hates his neck being tickled- he will bite your fingers off. I’m not kidding- Matsuba once tried it and he ended up needing several bandaids while L got the whole “You can’t bite people, Ryusaki” lecture from Watari.
If you bring him cake after tickling him, or any sweet for that matter, L will forgive you. He’ll still be pouting around said sweet- but he’ll forgive you.
So I've actually answered two of the questions for this one already because someone sent in an ask for a couple of the questions, and I stand by what I said then, that Matsuda is by far the most ticklish character, lord have mercy on his soul.

So I don't think anyone would assume that they were, but the Shinigami aren't ticklish at all, that's just not how their bodies work. Ryuk likes to tease Light with it sometimes, teasing him about how silly humans are to have such an obvious weakness. Light's usual method for dealing with such comments is cutting off his apple supply for a week.

Mello gets ganged up on a lot by Matt and the other members of his group, because it's just too easy not to take advantage of his obvious sensitivity (plus he's so grumpy all the time, everyone wants to see a smile on his face).

Sayu isn't featured much in the show, but I feel like she's someone who's probably good at intuitively figuring that stuff out (and being an ass about it). I also like to believe that L is weirdly skilled at guessing people's worst spots because of his whole detective thing, and it freaks everyone out due to how accurate it is (especially Light lol as he's been desperately trying to keep his sensitivity a secret for most of his life).

Misa accidentally discovered that Light's neck is ticklish, when he was reluctantly allowing their one daily make-out moment (their relationship was such a disaster omg). She went to kiss his neck and he flinched away with this stupid smile and said he was tried. But Misa's persistent and more observant than people give her credit for, and immediatelly realized what was going on. She's tried to tickle him a couple other times, but it only works if she catches him by surprise, otherwise he'll shut it down immediatelly. He's made her promise never to do it in front of the others.
. Who's the most likely to win gang tickle wars?
Probably Sayu or Matt, both of them are the most skilled when it comes to tickling, and have only average sensitivity themselves.

LIGHT like he tries to avoid tickling in general, because he finds it weak and childish. Because of that, he never really got any exposure to it. I think he knew that he was ticklish, at least at some point, because of Sayu when he was a lot younger, but he hasn't gotten tickled since then and he believed he had grown out of it. That is until he met Misa who showed him different (and then L discovered it and his life became a living nightmare).

This is the other question I already answered, being Matt and Mello because c'mon guys. Of course they do. Mello usually loses these tickle fights, but he keeps engaging in them anyway on the off chance that he'll win (plus maybe he doesn't hate them as much as he insists).

WELL THAT’S QUITE A THROWBACK. SURE, HERE’S THE OT3
MATT: pretty ticklish but irritatingly (to mello) okay with it. he just loves to laugh - sometimes he even asks to be tickled if he’s had a rough day or something. and he REALLY loves to be tickled while he’s stoned. he’ll even sprawl out across mello’s and/or near’s laps and whine at them til they tickle his sides, and then just lie there heavy and lethargic and giggly for as long as they’ll go. cuddly as a fuckin’ puppy. it’s not cute, mello insists. (it’s ADORABLE.)
amongst the three of them, he’s the one who’s the most of a ler. he’s pretty gentle, but god help you if you think that means merciful. he’ll chuckle along with his lee’s laughter, turn hugs into tickling their sides, and press tickly kisses into their neck, but he’ll also torment them with light, soft touches until they’re twitching and wheezy with laughter. and he has no qualms about pinning down their wrists or sitting on their ankles to get them helpless under him.
MELLO: he’s the one who’s deathly ticklish (pun fully intended). screechy laughter if you so much as brush your fingers across his side, thrashing and flailing, cussing out his ler. he’s one big ball of sensitivity (that crop top tho), but his worst spots are his underarms and the backs of his knees, especially with light, teasy touches. also, tickle talk gets him bad. he’ll turn bright red and start spluttering. save mello. ultimately he actually does enjoy it a lot, but he doesn’t like seeming so vulnerable to anyone but people he’s really close to, so even in private, he won’t let anyone even try except matt. (and, after years and years, near.)
he’s a vindictive fuckin’ ler. no mercy. puts all that mafia interrogation training to use. constantly frustrated by the fact that neither matt nor near is as affected by tickling as he is.
NEAR: totally immune; mello’s been trying to get him for years. but then one day someone at wammy’s or the SPK or whatever happens to brush their fingers across his soles and he lets out the tiniest squeak and they all pause for a minute and then they’re like. HMMMM. when someone really goes in on his feet, he flops around a little, but mostly is baffled by the whole affair, and so he just kind of lies there hiccupping out squeaks and soft giggles until it ends.
he’s pretty neutral on being a ler (so much effort), and he certainly doesn’t have any of the mello’s vindictiveness, but he really does love to see his boyfriends laughing. he’ll happily tickle matt whenever he asks for it, and sometimes slides his hands under matt’s shirt of his own will to stroke and pinch at his sides and belly til he’s snorting with laughter. when it comes to mello, he can’t really be assed to control his squirming, and so he’ll enlist the help of either matt or handcuffs to keep him down while he shrieks with laughter and near goes in very slowly and methodically on the backs of his knees and that’s always when mello gets most #rekt.
