All of my OCâs lore laid out in unnecessarily convoluted detail.

The World:
God came down to earth in 1982 and saw how selfish and awful humanity was. He saw them as incapable of redemption and sent them into an apocalypse as punishment. The world turned into a desert with very little plant life and water. Everyoneâs âsinâ was marked on their bodies with a red discoloration going up their arms and sometimes their face. This means that the more red on a personâs body, the worse a person they are (according to god).
The Characters:
The character with blue hair believes himself to be a reincarnation of Jesus Christ. He sees the god that sent them into an apocalypse as a devil, disguising itself as god, that he must kill (he is wrong in this assumption). Despite Christ making himself seem virtuous and moral, his past that still shapes him today was far less than. When he was just a child, before god came to earth, Christâs (at the time Christine) parents were hardcore Catholics, who chastised and punished him for being too much of a âtomboyâ viewing it as him âstraying away from the path god set for himâ. As a way to cope with this, Christ became more violent to the world around him, viewing everyone as a judgmental figure. This only worsened when the apocalypse started as you can imagine. Christs parents, having lost faith in god, took their anger out on him. During one of their many arguments, Christ killed his parents and ended up having to eat them so he wouldnât starve. The only fragments of his parents that Christ has left are the (2) small silver crosses that they used to carry around. Now parentless, Christ was taken in by the military as a child soldier, where he would stay until he met Judah.
Judah is the stand in for Judas Iscariot in this story, in that he is Christs companion and ultimately âbetraysâ him at the end of the story. Judahs childhood before god came to earth was a fairy normal one. His parents were technically Christian, but they didnât practice beyond going to church on Sundays. It was mostly used as a way for them to fit in, his mother being an Indian immigrant in a prominently white neighborhood. When god came to earth, him and his mother adjusted well to the pain of sin, but his father was not so lucky. He was made to fight in WWII, causing him to accumulate a massive amount of sin, not through the actions he chose, but from the will of his government. The pain of his fatherâs sins proved to be too much, causing Judahâs father to kill himself only a month after god came to earth. Judahs mother, taking him away from the body of her husband, ran into the desert where they were attacked by a group of cannibals. Judahs mother died in the attack, but he was able to survive due to the help of some desert wanderers, âthe sin eatersâ. The sin eaters are a monastery of monks who learned how to control their âsinâ easing the pain of it and learning to project it onto others as a form of combat. The sin eaters took Judah in after failing to save his mother and he too gained control over his sin. Now having lost both parents to the actions of god, Judah swears that he will one day make his way to heaven and kill god.
Their Relationship:
After meeting each other, Judah and Jesus quickly became dependent on each otherâs company. While theyâre not a good match for one another, theyâre both so desperate for love due to their upbringing, they would rather stay together and slowly grow resentful of each other, than be alone.
The power system:
Sin: A âdestructiveâ power that allows its user to transfer their sin onto another person, causing them to dissolve (depending on the amount of sin transferred). Used predominately by Judah and the sin eaters.
Divinity: A âconstructiveâ power used only by those who truly see themselves as divine figures. Allows its users to construct protective walls and projectiles. Used predominantly by Jesus Christ, god, and those working for god.
