Imma rant to the void for a quick minute here, okay??

K-pop Demon Hunters is a terrific movie, and I won’t hear otherwise, but it took me so long to actually see it, cuz I’m a book-cover judger

I mean, K-pop Demon Hunters?? Are you serious?? That, in a way, is the most childish name you could give any movie,, I’d expect this movie to be 50 minutes long w absolutely no Real character development from Anyone

(And I mean, the characters didnt develop That much, but still, much better than a lot of other things I’ve seen)

And ON TOP OF THAT it’s so GUTWRENCHING in the end

It’s beautifully written, very nice characters, absolute BANGERS throughout the movie, no Marye Sues, and you name the movie

I don’t know if people forget about the commercial about the cereal breathing dragon, but I’ve seen so many post about like “Nimona can turn into anything that they wish and imagine”, which is true to an extend, but I think it’s rather true that they turn into thing they’ve seen before,, Like,, Nimona’s surely seen the ad and was like “rad”

I don’t believe they can conjure animals from nothing, but so many post I read, read as though that was the reality,,

I know somebody else has said this, but I just LOVE the fact that Crowley and Aziraphale are obvi the main characters in season 1, and yet you could remove them, and the course of the season would be almost completely the same,,

I just love those two useless divorcées husbands

NO! this is untrue. They run over Anathema, which leads to her not having The Book, which means she picks a file card at random, which leads to her finding out that Newt has a talent for breaking computers, which leads to stopping the end of the world. So (by accident, I'll admit,) they do actually help. One time. In the most roundabout way possible.

You know, this is actually why I want so much for the denouement of season 3 to be a joint miracle between Adam and Jesus protecting Earth, and not anything directly having to do with Crowley and Aziraphale.

They are NOT supposed to have a lot of real impact on the direction of human history, only accidental collateral impact. That is like, the entire narrative point of them both in the book and season 1. For all of heaven and hell’s self-importance, the apocalypse ended up being in the hands of humans. Aziraphale and Crowley spent their entire history seeing humans be pretty much self sufficient so they shrugged and went out to lunch a lot.

Heck, even Shax points it out in season 2. She’s like, ‘oh so humans will just… sort themselves out?’ And Crowley is like ‘yeah pretty much’ so then Shax spends the rest of the season focusing on hell-heaven stuff. She straight up stops doing any human-related stuff once she realizes there is no point to it because humans will just do it on their own and will do it BETTER.

Even Nina and Maggie end up making the adult, human decision in the end instead of getting together like everybody else was plotting for them. They wrestle the narrative back and make their own choices.

Season 3 should have a lot of Aziraphale and Crowley trying to do something impactful to save the Earth, sure. But at the end of the day if they do end up being the ones to save the Earth directly, then this goes against all of the themes until now and I will frankly find this development disappointing and pointless. What saves the Earth should be, like, a domino effect from an offhand comment one of them makes to Jesus and then doesn’t think twice about.

I don’t care what anybody says, the biggest “plot twist” in Good Omens was definitely Aziraphale actually saying 'banana, fish, gorilla, shoelace with dash of nutmeg'
