Stitch My Way Back to Crochet

  Of all the needle and thread craft or art, crochet is the one I love the most. Last Sunday, I started doing a new project using it. It’s a shoe. I was planning to make a pair for each of us three. Hope they like it. It is supposed to be like this one. I hope I can make it.

Dydy

I started doing embroidery at a young age. But I do stopped doing it during my mid teenage years. I got back in this hobby few months ago. I started to practice whatever photo that caught my interest as I surfed the web. Then I got the idea to try doing photo of my sisters and I fave band members. I intentionally did try to make one for my youngest sis coming birthday last year. Then it goes on... I was able to teach my younger sis along the way too. our youngest sister just watched and gave her comments (which is mostly useless). Then one day, Daddy saw the three of us being busy about it. He sometimes mimicked the poses of  the person in the photo we were using as a pattern. He kept on doing this before he voiced out that he wanted one for himself. So after all those drama, here is the finished product.

He kept on complaining about the color I used for his lips and gums. Mouth part is the one I always ruined. He he! Still needed to practice with that. I finished it last Saturday mid-night.

RJ the Fluffy Alpaca

His RJ – one of BT21 character created by BTS (Jin to be specific). I found it cute so I made an embroidery version of it. I  even made a poem for it, as I remember my mistake recognizing what animal it is. Hehe.

Doing my first embroidery portrait was a bit tough but it was fun.  As I was doing it, my sisters saw me. The one whom (youngest sister) I was preparing it as a birthday present was happy seeing it and most especially knowing that it was for her. About my other sister (younger sister) she’s also glad and she requested me to do one for her as well. Her fave happen to be V (Tae hyung ) of BTS.

One day I saw some needle and thread artists, who do embroidery portrait. I became inspired to do one as well.

Since we came to be a fan of one of the most popular Korean boy band- BTS and my youngest sister's birthday is near, I decided to make one for her. That is the reason why I end up of doing an embroidery portrait of Suga (my younger sister's favorite band member). It is supposed to be my birthday gift for her, but unfortunately she caught me doing it.

A Moment to Remeber

  Decades ago, Yes it has been a decade ago since the first time I do Embroidery. I was just in six grade then. I remember I am very curious and excited then at that time. Sorry just being a little nostalgic about the past as I write this.

   So due to that memory, here I am trying  to make one to test if I still know how to do it.

   Luckily after that long period of time of not doing it, I was able to do it still.

Tada! Here it is.

  I finished doing it last September 13 this year.

Curly Kitty

   My sister’s art was more on realistic sketches or portraits but got inspired as well to do embroidery. Her style was to do portrait using needle and threads since she was having a hard time to continue her art using her old medium. She was diagnosed with seizure disorder and her hand is shaking. She now uses embroidery to continue her passion with arts.

  Her first collection that she is still working on is about BTS. Its theme was about being a baepsae. It’s having the feeling of being an underdog and everyone thinks that you cannot achieve something. But instead of closing your world to everyone and imprisoning yourself with negative thoughts , you slowly improve yourself to achieve your dream not to prove something but it is just simply doing it for yourself. As RM said, “ Speak for  yourself”…

First Adventure in the world of  Tumblr

Good Day!

 What an exciting day to start a new adventure. It actually took me three years to have the courage to start a blog. It is still as nerve cracking as before, but exciting as well.

 You can expect different form of art, but mostly using needle and thread as a medium. It is also diverse, due to the fact that it will be a collection (some sort of diary, journal, or whatever you want to call it) of my artworks and my sister's. Don’t expect that much though. Like most of you, we are just an amateur one who are expressing our ideas using our skill that we are still developing. We are all cat lovers too. I am the oldest among the three – being 26 in age (your Cutie Kitty), the younger one is 23 (the Curly Kitty), while the youngest is just 20 (the Chubby Kitty). By the adjective I use, I bet you already have  the clue on how we look like ...

 One of these days, who knows you might see us as the subject in our own art work. Hehe.

 Hope we could grow and learn together with every craft we are passionate of doing. We are also open with your opinions and suggestions on how we could improve it. Thanks in advance.
