It hit me a few days ago while listening to mars on the bus why exactly I love their music so much. Its because when I listen to them, I feel like everything is okay, I feel like I am free, alive, happy, and like life is limitless and I can do anything. So, it carries on to my real life, outside the music, and i realize that I really can do anything. But, the times I really feel free and when I can really escape, are when I am listening to mars; apart from the world. Also, it is this family. Its the ability for us to be accepted by so many people and realize that we are not alone, we have a giant family out there of people who accept us for who we are, and the best part is that not everyone gets it, because that makes this family even more special for all of us. The fact that we can love people we’ve never met because of this music, this community, I wouldn’t want to live any other way. The echelon is my rock, along with the music. You are the people I go to when I need help, the people who I am really able to be myself around and not be afraid. You are my giant, dysfunctional family, and I promise you I will never leave you alone, and I love you.
