so the idea was a karting era lestappen au, in this universe omega’s werent allowed to race for decades, up until around 2010, when sebastian vettel won his first title, announced he was an omega and then won another title to prove it wasnt a fluke while the FIA scrambled to figure out how to work this into their rule book.

eventually they came up with a solution, since sebastian had been publicly and happily mated when he won his title, the FIA made it a rule that omega’s are allowed to race if and only if they have a mate, (they claim its due to hormonal irregularities and unmated omegas being too sensitive, but everyone knows thats a load of sexist bull) no matter how sexist the rule is quite clever though because it applies to any and all categories of motorsport, including karting. so since no freshly presented teenage omega is getting mated, they drop from the ranks just as surely as before, meaning f1 is safe as a precious alpha (and sebastian vettel) only sport. cue charles presenting as an omega somewhere in early 2012, at first he is beyond devastated, thinking his motorsport dreams are over, but there is simply no way he’ll give up that easily, he’ll just have to find a mate by the next race. he goes through a list of candidates in his head, it has to be someone he trusts, someone that wont turn around and take racing away from him, someone that understands. one by one all viable options get crossed off, until he lands on max.
