Not wanting to have kids is a valid choice, and I’m so fucking sick of telling people flat-out that I don’t want children and them saying, “You’re still young. You’ll change your mind. I used to say the same thing.” Like...no, I’m not changing my mind. There’s nothing wrong with me cuz I don’t wanna experience pregnancy and the trauma of delivery and worry myself sick over a child for the rest of my life. It’s a beautiful thing that so many women adore motherhood and think it’s the best thing that ever happened to them. My mom is one of those women, and I’m here because of her. I applaud every single lady out there who has survived one or multiple pregnancies and who has the love and patience and desire to raise a child. BUT I’M NOT IN THAT CAMP, AND THAT’S VALID.
