Letter to Future Self from Past Self

I envision having these in the future .... 

I just want to list the dreams I have right now, so when I look back 5 or maybe 10 years or even 15-20 years from now, I’ll see how different my priorities have changed and to see whether I really did accomplish them. 

 A medical doctor who graduated from a prestigious medical school. 

who’s fit, sexy, sensual and voluptous

who has shiny, smooth black hair, a naturally glowing skin, and pearly white teeth. 

impeccably fashionable with an elegant taste 

eloquent and elegant in the way I move, I speak and do things. 

have a vivacious, bubbly, and optimistic personality. Be lively and different!

live an interesting and well-cultured life! - Traveling around the world, eating at different restaurants, cultured in the arts, reading all types of books, joined different kinds of organizations, helping other people, further education, funny, and unique life stories, etc. 

prioritize God, family,  the love of my life and my children first. Then next, career and business. Finally, materialistic things. I want to be a family-oriented person and put efforts into building a close and solid relationship with family members. Career and business can always replace you. You can always make more money anytime, but you can never take back time spent with Mom and Dad, husband, and growing children. No matter what happens, always prioritize family first. Then career and business. Make sure you’re always financially independent and capable of doing many things on your own. For self-fulfillment and have self-worth and value. Lastly, enjoy material things, but don’t work hard for the sake of obtaining them to impress and show off to other people. 

Always remember that wishes granted to you, goals achieved, dreams fulfilled were meant for a reason. Don’t fall into temptation of acquiring the fruits only for yourself. Always remember that you’re there to HELP other people, to make their lives better, to make a difference, to be a great memory and a wonderful reminder that kind and sincere people still exist. Even if other people around you fall into temptation of greed, selfishness, lust, revenge, etc, always have a steady conscience. Remember your mission: Be different, be sincere, and be there to lend a helping hand. 

You will be very rich. Just a reminder to always look out behind your back. Many people will stab you in the back, wait for the moment to take advantage of you and your kindness. Don’t let them. BE SMART. BE ASSERTIVE. DON’T LET PEOPLE WALK ALL OVER YOU. LEARN TO BE MANIPULATIVE BUT NEVER EVER STEP ON OTHER PEOPLE. FIGHT FOR YOURSELF, FIGHT FOR OTHERS, FIGHT FOR WHAT YOU HAVE BECAUSE PEOPLE WILL TAKE THE CHANCE THEY HAVE TO ROB IT AWAY FROM YOU.

Letter to your future self from past self ( 2016). Things to accomplish during pre-med career.

Things I want to Accomplish in my Pre-Med career. 

Be on the Dean’s List ( at least once) 

Have research experience ( on campus or outside) 

Establish own club or create an organization in the hospital. 

Volunteer at a hospital ( preferably Hackensack or NYU) 

Be a great RA in Campbell 

Start a non-profit organization/ healthcare alliance in the Philippines. 

Get into a world-renowned medical school. 

Do well on the MCAT. 

Things to Remember:

When accomplishing these goals, make sure to contribute your efforts for the betterment of other people. Love what you do and do what you love. Do it knowing that you’re helping other people. Don’t do it because you want an impressive resume or don’t do it for selfish reasons like bettering yourself. Do it because you love people. If you do it with sincerity, it will be meant for you. It will be kept for you, reserved for you. It will be genuinely yours and no bad luck nor malicious force could ever take it away from you, I promise.

Letter from your past self ( 2016). Things I need to learn and ingrain in the long term.

Don’t trust anyone. Everyone is a scumbag. 

Don’t tell anyone anything unless they will help you out. 

Practice self-preservation. If you have any weaknesses or vulnerabilities, don’t tell people. It will be used as a weapon against you. The less people know about you, the less they could attack you. 

When you’re succeeding and someone is trying to bring you down, recognize their potentials or acknowledge the, and their contributions to your success. People need recognition. People will like you more if you are humble and make them feel good. 

You have to know yourself really well. Don’t be naive and fall easily for compliments.

You have to fight for yourself because no one will. But use reservations. 

Use your judgement

 Have a balance life. Don’t be too passionate. Don’t be too extreme. Don’t tip the boat.

Keep it simple --> overanalyzing leads to multiple complex Point of views --> invites distractions -->  tangles that detract the truth.

 real-estate investing ( buying houses and properties and reselling them). 

establish my own business ( doctor’s office, coffee shop, restaurant, anything creative). 

build a school in the Philippines. 

create an academic scholarship in memory of Mama. 

create my own investment portfolio ( real estate, stocks,) 

have an exotic car collection 

donate to the church and support conservative causes. 

create my own philanthropic charities. ( education, medicine, research, startup).

write my own book.

take my family out on a road trip to Manila and Subic. Plan everything ( car, hotel, food, etc).

sponsor my cousins’ extracurricular activities ( drawing, swimming, tutoring, karate, PHS tutoring sessions). 

send money every month so they can enjoy themselves in Naga’s Robinsons Mall. 

take my family on a road trip to Hong Kong Disneyland.

buy a furniture piece for Grandma. Send them money to enjoy themselves in a restaurant.

go to New Orleans, LA

go to Nashville, TN

Go to San Antonio or Houston, TX.

Go to Georgia.

Go to South Carolina.
