8.10.2013 On the final day of this year-long mermaid-a-day 365 project, I learned that mermaids are everywhere. I had to travel halfway around the world to find what was in my own backyard. On November 10, 2012, I posted this photo of a mermaid Designed by Jacques-Ignace Hittorff in the Fountain of River Commerce and Navigation in the Place de La Concorde, Paris France: http://365mermaid.tumblr.com/post/35446060707/11-10-2012-there-are-two-fountains-designed-by Today, my last post is an image of one of the "original mermaids" that was presented for sale after the fountain was renovated early in the 20th century. The one I posted on November 10, 2012, unbeknownst to me at the time, was merely a replica.
