i wouldn’t necessarily say this is a hiatus, but i am beginning my new school year now. i have decided it would be best for me if i only posted on weekends. i don’t want all the assignments and tests in addition to my extra curricular classes to affect my work. i know school isn’t very much of an excuse, but i hope you’ll forgive me for not posting daily :( love you guys and thanks for the support !! ♡

“Well, it is now that time of night.” the host says, separating the ones accompanied with each other, “I’d like to ask each gentlemen to invite a maiden he did not escort to dance the King and Queen’s waltz.”
You shot a glance to your beloved, Kuroo, to see if this was acceptable. Noticing he already took Yukie in hand, you face Akaashi. A state of malaise overcomes you, realizing you would have to take his hand to dance.
“Shall we?” he gently smiles, asking for your hand to carry. You nod, heading towards the middle of the floor. Observing the music as it begins to play, the melody feels a bit too romantic for comfort.
Akaashi looked as if he was a king, dressed up in a suit only someone of wealth would wear. A navy blue covering that fitted his eyes perfectly. You looked absolutely stunning to Akaashi, as you always had. Simultaneously, you two had picked a color scheme that matched perfectly, navy blue and red velvet.
As you reach the middle of the dance floor, you find your hands tangling with the warmth of his own. He places his other on your waist, giving you chills to the touch. You slowly start swaying to the verses.
The look being given to each other was like no other you had experienced. Smiles appeared on both of your faces, seen as pleasured ones enjoying the moment.
The song almost reaching it’s chorus, you two begin to separate from the others. You two find yourselves stuck in the melody, dancing in a style that would make people perceive you as their leader. Therefore, a light is shown upon the two of you. Which Kuroo and Yukie then took a glimpse your way, making sure nothing was taking place. On the contrary, the two of you were imprisoned by your feelings, not noticing the sudden spotlight.
Akaashi was never one to sing in front of people. However, as it reached the pre-chorus, his frame of mind told him to sing these words to you, and specifically you.
“Now you’re beside me, and look how far we’ve come.” he hums, pulling you in, “So far, we are. So close.”
You take over the middle of the dance floor, as a great big luminescence is shown upon you. It felt as if glitters fell from the sky, covering you and Akaashi. Beaming a bright grin, he takes you up from the floor, spinning you in the air. Causing laughter to erupt from your mouth as well. As the chorus ends, he places you down. Fitting in the moment, your noses touch, eyes staring at each others lips.
“Mind if i cut in?” Yukie interrupts, taking Akaashi’s hand to dance with, once again.
“No, of course.” Akaashi was good at hiding his feelings, but a bitter smile could be found on his face
You stand there, now being pulled back into reality from what seemed like bliss. You were obfuscated by the fact, you thought it was bliss in the first place.
Kuroo takes you up the stairs, hand in hand.
“You’re sad.” he observes.
“I’m fine, Tetsu.” you reply.
“I’ll go get you some water.” He leaves you on the railing, as you watch Akaashi and Yukie dance.
Sure, Akaashi was dating Yukie. Sure, you were dating Kuroo. But why did it feel ever so right, and ever so wrong, when you danced with eachother. Akaashi had to appear in your very existence. And just that, made you befuddled. Why did you feel you wanted to dance with Akaashi, and not your boyfriend, Kuroo? Being with Akaashi was your only escape from reality. You enjoy being around him, and it seemed as if he felt the same too.
You were from the US, suddenly barging into Japan, to meet Kuroo. And Akaashi feels you came in at full speed, leaving a empty hole. A hole that he couldn’t close. Except, when he was around you.
No, you weren’t the type to steal someone’s boyfriend. Never could fathom the thought. Although, your heart did ache a bit when you found Yukie kissing Akaashi on the dance floor.
All of this was too overwhelming to decipher. And a sudden vision of black makes you fall to the floor.
SUMMARY: you felt as if your neighbor had acted the same as your mother when you were 10. no parties, screaming, shouting, putting on music, and you were grown up now! and if you did, he would call the police. for heavens sake,, you didn’t even know his name! who knew what the universe had in store for you both in the future.
