This Blade Runner-inspired Tartali (or Zhongchi. It doesn’t matter in this fic) fic is seriously so well-written and thought-provoking. It’s not just a Sci-Fi AU; this fic explores what it means to be human; what makes a human real, what separates the artificial “adepti” from them, and if that difference even means anything when the lines between the two seem to irreparably blur.

Shouto had begged for time to think about the confession before he gave an answer… that was nearly a year ago. Shouto still had no answer to give him, let alone any idea of how to go about finding said answer. But a chance encounter with a possible new friend from Class B might help him come up with one.
