I guess I'm in a North Atlantic killer whale sort of mood, so here's a quick painting of a Norwegian orca that I did yesterday.

B1 Orcas!

Aka my fav ecotype of orcas, these orcas live in the antarctic region. They are a small ecotype of about 100 individuals. They are mostly known for their unique method of hunting seals known as “wave-washing”. In this hunting method the orcas of the pod swim in unison to create a large, targeted wave which washes seals off ice floes. These orcas are characterised by their large, pale dorsal cape, yellow skin, and a large parallel- oriented eye patch.
