if any new yorkers has resources for a trans individual who may need emergency housing that would be cool. I'm trying to find resources too
yes this is ok to rb I just need help compiling organizations that might house me in case my parents try to kick me out
this was a great read. “Laziness Does Not Exist” by Devon Price
Feeling empty or your feeling you mood darken? You might be very unstimulated.
I know its hard to find something that truly interests you; I’ve only found it recently (its this: my blogs and such), but keep trying different things. I know its hard but you won’t find it unless you keep looking.
- DEPRESSION: Is It ADHD, Depression, or Both?, ADDitude
Secondary depression is a depression in an individual who has one or more preexisting, nonaffective psychiatric disorders or an incapacitating or life-threatening medical illness which precedes and parallels the symptoms of depression. (link)
Secondary depression is essentially when you have depression secondary to another condition.. and in a lot of cases, the depression is “caused” by the disorder.
In the case of ADHD, its not uncommon for chronic under-stimulation to cause secondary depression.
ppl w adhd and autism reblog and add what texture is so awful it haunts your dreams its okay if its incredibly specific ill go first: scratching my nails on a car
white sociopathy and fragility is so deeply troubling bc even ‘progressive’ white ppl express it, it’s just so deeply ingrained in them and the concept of ‘whiteness’ that you can’t have one without the other. being called racist is scarier to them than actually being racist, and they’ll have full blown meltdowns when accused of racism bc they can see the social consequences of that accusation - people not wanting to associate with them, people speaking negatively about them, etc - and it terrifies them. dealing w the social ramifications of being racist scares them, but actual racism doesn’t bc it doesnt affect them. if they’re racist and no one notices, it doesn’t hurt them; if they’re racist and people notice, they ‘suffer’ (even though that ‘suffering’ would be justified, and what constitutes as ‘suffering’ to them re: accusations of racism doesn’t compare to racialized people actually, you know, experiencing racism.)
if one more person comments on this saying something like “ummm im a psychology student and this isn’t what sociopathy means :/” or “aktually that’s not why people don’t like being called a racist” im literally gonna snap i have no patience for this shit anymore please use google it’s free these are studied proven phenomenons written about by antiracist academics for decades that you can read about 100% for free on the same internet you are using right this second. stop derailing this post im fucking sick of it
start pushing for prison abolition or at the very least widespread reform right now i mean it. you can’t say “fuck the police” and “all cops are bastards” and talk about alternatives to police, but say nothing about alternatives to prison and the crime against humanity that is the racist drug war and the U.S.’s mass incarceration, the financial machine behind the police industrial complex
obsessed with this girl in my bio class who always brings a full litre bottle of coke to every lesson, today she said “im just genuinely not a nice person” to my bio teacher when he asked her why she swore so much. In year eleven before one of our gcse exams as we were lining up outside the exam hall she came up to me and said “what exam is this” and when i told her physics she said “yeah i think i can do that” and got in line
oi guys for the love of fuck, i’m not gonna be nice about it
if you’re a non black poc, or worse, white, do not fucking make this about you. do not make it about aesthetics. do not make it about anything other than it is.
rebloging myself bc someone asked: the point of this post is beyond whether you can or can’t reblog it. the point is whether you should or shouldn’t.
if you’re a non black poc, or a white person, what you’re called to do now is to stand in solidarity.
see someone making BLM into a relatable aesthetic? call it out
see a post with donation links? reblog it and donate if you can (x), (x), (x)
the MN freedom fund itself is bringing attention to other fundraisers. check their twitter.
most importantly know this doesn’t end in the internet, that is not enough. family or friends saying anti-black bullshit? say something. read on the subject of racism and anti-black state violence, prison abolitionism, etc etc
if you’re not from the US learn about what is happening in YOUR country re: black communities and learn how to help them
do not speak over black people
deplatform racists
go to a protest (with the necessary precautions)
sign petitions
do not donate to anything shaun king posts because he has a history of asking for money in the name of BLM and then the money vanishes. the mn freedom fund has made the clarification already
etc etc etc
listen to black people, and stand with them. interject in the situations that you can, and educate yourself and others. as riots and protests spread know many states and cities freedom funds will need donations. check with national bail fund network, or free them all.
don’t ask me if you can reblog, ask yourselves how can you contribute. you shouldn’t be asking if you can help, but how. it doesn’t begin by reading theory, it begins by caring about people
also it’s so frustrating to keep seeing non-americans say shit like ‘at least i don’t live in america’. like i can promise you people wherever you live are experiencing just as much racism. extremely tone deaf to the situation and complete ignorance of where you live
being apolitical is being complicit. being silent is being complicit. being indifferent is being complicit. black lives matter. black lives matter. black lives matter.
since this is getting a lot of attention i’ll drop these links and feel free to add on

https://minnesotafreedomfund.org/donate
https://www.justiceforbigfloyd.com/
Here's a fund open till the end of May to free black mothers
Here's the Louisville bail fund, which will need now donations as protests for Breonna Taylor progress
Full offence but now is not the time to make fucking glitter edits or banners saying fuck cops or acab. Now is the time to uplift black voices, their concerns and their protests. It is the time so spread awareness and donate to the families of the lives lost and the protestors arrested.
Instead of saying fuck cops or acab say their names. George Floyd, Regis Korchinski-Paquet and Breonna Taylor
If you fall into any of these categories, please unfollow me
- the "all lives matter" crowd
- the “i don’t care about politics” crowd
- "blue lives matter" people
- "violence is never the answer” people
- "i don't see race/colour" people
- the "white people experience racism too" crowd
if only white ppl + nbpoc would spend less time being a performative activist on the internet & more time using their privilege to check and stand up to their racist/antiblack family and friends!! if you dont then youre a part of the problem. rbing a few posts saying you want to see justice and patting yourself on the shoulder bc you think that’s all you should be doing is not going to change anything. do better and be useful - sign petitions, donate to organisations if you have the means, devote your time into spreading awareness, call local governments and don’t speak over black ppl.
pls take the time to go through this link(x) it contains a lot of useful information on actions we can take!
