I have been wanting to do one of these for a long time, so today seemed the right day to write some of my personal musings about Lawrence Oleander from boyfriend to Death, a murder themed sensual game series. While they are headcanons, yes, I would like you all to know that I like to create my headcanons of anything by analyzing the character and trying to keep it close to canon as possible.
Last to inform, I do not plan on doing a headcanon post for any other character-- including the Gatoverse. This is primarily because Lawrence is almost the only character in the franchise that caught my eye, thus me spending more time trying to analyze him, going through Gatobob's old tumblr posts to find anything related to him.
With all these being said, lets start.
It is a common knowledge that Lawrence doesn't like getting into showers, but one thing would be an exception about his personal hygiene: that is his fingers. Lawrence likes using his hands a lot, thus they may not be the prettiest in form: full of sores, hardskinned and full of scabs(after all, he does spend time with dirt by scracthing it, taking care of plants, etcetera.) While he doesn't mind his hands, I believe he always keeps under his fingernails clean because he likes the seeing dirt coming off. Sort of how he got his tattoos done, cleaning them makes him feel like he's lifting up all the awful things he did, but don't want to remember.
On occasion, he has the "haunting stare", especially at night when he hears a voice he considers not from nature. His eyes are generally very pigeonish usually, with cornea a color between orange and beige, black dots all over it: And his iris is generally seen as all black until a light catches into them, turning into pale blue. What specifically his haunting stare establishes to other people is his outer iris: cornered by a very small section of blood red. This is most noticable when he opens his eyes fully and that is when most people see the outer corner, truly looking horrifying and unreal for them.
Coming onto his work life, his collegues aren't scared of him--more like a confusion is on their heads. "Does he even sleep or eat at all?" "What is with his body?" "He barely even talks and I never see him outside--does he even have a life?" Everybody is busy at the work but the thoughts keep crossing on their minds time to time, with Lawrence noticing them. He notices how odd they find him but tries to ignore it, brushing it all of by telling himself they don't even have the capacity to understand.
Lawrence has ritualls all crreated by himself, but not in a black magick way, no. It's basic signs he gives off to himself to remind. to feel. to gather. Such as tapping his shoulders three times to remind himself he is still here, in this body, in this exact moment. He likes to spin around while carressing his withered flowers to offer them a last ceremony, to make sure they don't hate him. That's the minimum for him. He doesn't give much thought to these beliefs he has: his head is busy enough trying to find signs all over the things around him. If anything is there, it is a symbol-a signoff, a telling to him. He just needs to understand.
Besides the "haunting stare", which he does often, he has(he is quick to be afraid and turn into defense mode) he also has the drunken eyes look. Sunken eyes, deadpan iris, and slightly puffed and chapped lips. When he is on break he's usually on this state, coworkers questioning if he is sleeping with eyes open or not.
Regular throat ick. He tries to clean his throat but it just hurts more. Low pinching sounds done by him very often.(This state of him is usually because of drug abuse)
