Qifrey and Ginko have (surprisingly) a lot in common.

They have both lost an eye (which they hide behind their white hair) and have no memory of their childhood due to some kind of "curse" (the Mushi for Ginko, the Silverwood seed for Qifrey).

I just hope that, someday, Qifrey will finally live peacefully like Ginko does, free from the curse that was inflicted upon him and finally being able to truly appreciate the life he built and the people he loves.

Witch Hat Atelier is definitely A LOT more popular, but go read/watch Mushishi if you want to experience something really peaceful and poetic with beautiful landscapes to look at (and also a lot of moral dilemmas).

I was listening to the Witch Hat Atelier ending song (Nakamura Hak - Tada Utsukushii Noroi) and I realized

The song could be written from Qifrey's perspective
