For the past week I've been on the road, traveling around Vancouver Island exploring some gorgeous parks and nature. This was the first year that I focused on simply enjoying life instead of celebrating Christmas and New Years. There was no stress, expectations, or commercialism and I have to say that I absolutely loved it! After a lifetime of participating in all of the hectic commercial holidays I've come to realize that I'm much happier having a minimalist approach to celebrating. I just made the most amazing coconut cream banana smoothie this morning! I'll have a recipe video coming soon. For now here are the ingredients: Frozen bananas Cashew milk Coconut cream Dates Vanilla Livwell protein powder It's so creamy and delicious! I've been loving the Livwell protein powder in smoothies. This Christmas I'm grateful to be adventuring, enjoying delicious raw foods and spreading the love! As time goes on, Christmas is more about spending time with those I love than getting/giving gifts. I find I'm just not attracted to the consumerism culture any more. I'd way rather have an amazing experience with those I care about during the holiday season - just like I am now as I road trip around Vancouver island! #christmas #minimalism #holiday

I got home to British Columbia yesterday to find that the computer cord I had ordered was misplaced in the mail. Which means that I'll have to stop making videos, right in the middle of Vlogmas 🙈 Hopefully I'll have more videos coming for you soon, when I can charge my computer again! Yesterday I filmed a video with my 102 year old great grandmother. She shared her secrets for living a long, happy and healthy life. In the last 100 years she has witnessed a complete transformation of the world. She grew up in the midst of the 1st world war with horses and a buggy for transportation. She spent her life tending to fruit trees and grape vines. She ate only what was provided by her farm and the surrounding countryside. She's healthier than most people half her age and is a constant inspiration to me! I'll have our video coming later today. #granny #102yearsold

My aunt and I made this raw vegan eggnog and were surprised at how delicious it was! I never enjoyed regular eggnog even when I ate animals products. Today while my dad was at work he ran into an old client who he affectionately refers to as "the hippy". My dad mentioned that I was home visiting from B.C and 'the hippy' said "oh, I have something that your daughter needs", and gave him this card. I would expect my dad to brush it off as complete nonsense seeing as his life philosophy has always been "never let the beer fridge go empty", but he was actually really excited about this card. Turns out he has one of his own with a special stone that he carries around with him 😂 this coming from my atheist, anti-spiritual, beer loving, completely conventional father. I'm starting to think that he may have listened a little to my hippy-vegan-spiritual talk these past years 😉 #affirmation

My aunt and I just filmed our first mukbang video! We ate this gorgeous coconut curry with cucumber noodles adapted from @justglowingwithhealth curry soup recipe. It was soooo delicious!
