NASA Data Sonification: Black Hole Remix
In this sonification of Perseus. the sound waves astronomers previously identified were extracted and made audible for the first time. The sound waves were extracted outward from the center. (source)
No, thank you. I did not need to hear the souls of a universe calling to me from the afterlife.
Someone needs to make a space thriller/horror/whatever with this mixed into the music
why does it sound exactly like what it feels like a black hole should sound like

“And it was Death itself who stood behind me, with his arms wrapped around me as tight as iron bands, and his lipless mouth kissing my neck as if in love. But as well as the horror, I felt a strange longing.”
— Margaret Atwood, Alias Grace. (via xshayarsha)

ubi sunt (lit: “where are”) - 1. originating from a Latin phrase meaning “where are those who were before us?”; 2. a poetic motif meditating on the nature of transience and inevitability.
The Star 💫

Getting ready up for the next round of Clifford blouses. There will be 25 white and 25 black. I know it seems like a small run but for me it’s giant!
Styling and wearing things I’ve made is my favorite but the past few days have been all math. Counting out buttons and labels, measuring yards of lace and making sure I have the numbers right for costing. I Do Declare doesn’t operate on traditional clothing margins because I want to keep the prices relatively affordable but the quality high. Hoping to have them in the shop in early august. I’m also planning a preorder for the Theodorè Bustiers. Keep your eyes open for more info on those soon. such a helpful writing buddy :P
You ever read a sentence written by somebody else and immediately hear the voice of Inigo Montoya saying, “You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.”

“Everyone you meet always asks if you have a career, are married or own a house; as if life was some kind of grocery list. But nobody ever asks if you are happy.”
