Two guns.

Nineteen bullet holes.

One hole for every flashback.

One shot for every government member he’d kill.

            He walked back to the artillery room and switched to a more powerful gun. Just as he exited the training room, alarms went off. “Fucking hell,” he thought. He ran to the nearest exit and bolted out the door. Next thing he knew, he was falling.

            Just as his feet hit the pavement, a sharp pain ripped through his chest. A gun shot. He crouched down in pain, seeking the cool water of the puddles left by the rain. One look at the water and he knew he was having another one. Another flashback.

            Shit. He was lying on the shower floor; a pool of blood had emanated from his nose. “Get your shit together, Teo,” he told himself as he cleaned up, prepping for what he thought would be just another patrol run.
