maybe you have seen my art with the spy!master and pomegranates (you can check it on my page). I was asked what pomegranates symbolise. GREAT question because I'm obsessed with this idea and also have such art with missy!

SO

the pomegranate symbolises the marriage and eternal bond between Hades and Persephone, but according to some other versions of the myth, Hades made her eat a few pomegranate seeds against her will in order to force her to stay by his side - because in the other world you can't eat anything. so we get a different interpretation of the symbol.

what I was thinking about: we turn this symbol completely upside down and the main character (koschei) consciously chooses pomegranates because he himself is addicted and stuck in it. he's addicted, and he chooses pomegranates - moreover, he expects the same from theta. and also the trend with peeled pomegranates! he'd really do anything for his arch-enemy lol
