@4bsentee
there was a guy selling rainbow roses at the street, they’re so pretty and colorful. they were his last bouquet of the rainbow roses :)
gian lorenzo bernini's life-sized marble masterpiece, apollo and daphne (1622-1625), breathes life into mythic tragedy.
in this frozen moment, daphne's plea takes root—her feet entwined with earth, her hair unfurling into leaves.
apollo, aflame with desire, grasps for her soft form, but his touch meets the rough bark of a love forever out of reach.
now onto my blabber, it kind of echoes the silent struggles of womanhood. like daphne, we move through a world where men pursue, their desire relentless, their grasp insistent. we run, not always to be free, but to preserve ourselves. her transformation into a laurel tree feels achingly familiar—a wish to be untouchable, rooted, and safe, even if it means sacrificing flesh for bark and freedom for stillness.
it is the tragedy of being seen, desired, and chased until escape becomes a metamorphosis.
does anyone actually use tumblr anymore or are we just reblogging posts?
We have always loved and we will continue to love. Oh, the beauty of human connection!
