the boys. i see them but they do not see me. they do not know what i know and cannot know what i know, the only way they know is if they do a cheat so bad that it violates basic fundamentals of the movement system and get instant kicked for it
points is roughly correlated to how many maps they successfully are able to complete, detect count is the total number of individual statically based detections, type is the severity of detection where low is modest suspicion, medium is suspicion and high is “lol cya in 10,000 years” and each of those detections is counted as well
as you can plainly tell, i have some high achievers. both in points and detections. some of these accounts listed are already gone, banned and records/replays wiped after i looked at their objectively slow times and compared them to the perfect-inputs they delivered with consistent frequency. the 212 detectcount guy is still around, he likes to ask about getting admin and offering help w/r/t plugin development. that’s nice. but i looked at his steam profile and the emoji nazi flags in his comments that have been there for months allowed me to come to a decision. i will tease him along for as much as possible (since despite his plain-to-me cheating he’s slow as molasses, i ran a map concurrently with him earlier this month. i played the default auto style, he played lowgrav (easier since you don’t need to get perfect apex-height jumps which the map has at 3 separate points). i finished in 1m12s, he finished in 2m14s. his strafe sync was 5% higher (94% vs 89%) than mine, despite my run being near flawless (no falls, minimal speed loss, all apex jumps first try)). in short, what that means is that on an easier difficulty he fell constantly and every time, he was able to execute chains of perfect inputs to get back up to speed as quickly as possible. i’m gonna have a special surprise for him when i bring the hammer down.
NB: a note on perfect inputs and what that entails. this gamemode has two skills required to be a good player: strafing and routing.
strafing is entirely mechanical, it’s a matter of how closely you can coordinate your changing movement direction (switching from a left-direction mouse movement and +left (aka a in wasd) to a right-direction mouse movement and +right (aka d)). beginning your mouse movement and depressing the movement key on the same “tick” (increment of time as far as the server is concerned, this is a 128 tick server) scores you a 0 for that input. doing it slightly earlier or later will write an offset, which varies from +127 to -127 (maximum integer representation in a byte is 255, 255/2 is 127.5). pros triggering the low certainty stat analysis flag typically have lots of inputs between -30 and +30 but also enough 0′s to meet the requirement. stddev mean of people who are obvious cheats is 8 ticks or lower in sample sizes as small as 30 sequentially captured inputs.
routing is much more cerebral, strafing is something that you just need to practice at and you’ll get up to 87-90% sync consistently with the muscle memory locked in. these dudes are doing 93-95% on EVERY run and still coming in with times entire fuckin minutes longer than even the time set directly above them in the ranks. routing is knowing what kind of speed you need and having the movement tech to hit the platforms you want and make the skips you can. this is learned by playing a lot and refining your knowledge of what is and isn’t possible in any given layout. no cheat can do this for you, it is a matter of dedication and practice.
in conclusion, they are strong but i got root. they live and die by my hand and once they do, i will point to that chart (which will be updated on a regular basis) and tell them that they are either robots, idiot savants or as occam’s razor dictates, cowards who cannot git gud and have chosen to allow a program to do it for them.

so that vacstatus site that let you put players on a list and it’d poll the steam API to see if they had game bans or not went defunct a while back. codes on github though and if some of you express some interest i could bash my head against the wall for a bit and get vac.crap.site into a thing
addentenum: anyone experienced with npm and composer would be useful for consultation, the site seems to be built using those tools and i’ve personally never touched them so it’s a little daunting
