Green Goblin Unmasked

NEW YORK, NY

After last night’s arrest of the Green Goblin in the streets around Oscorp corporate headquarters, the man allegedly responsible for recent goblin activity has been unmasked. Rumors that have been flying around industrialist, and founder of Oscorp, Norman Osborn, would seem to be confirmed. According to a press release just moments ago by the NYPD at 8:30 this morning, upon unmasking, allegedly Osborn was behind the mask. Neither the Osborn Estate, nor Oscorp have responded to our requests for comment. More on this breaking story as it comes.

Green Goblin Finally Behind Bars

NEW YORK, NY

After a week’s full of increased sightings of the Green Goblin, it seems that things have finally reached an explosive conclusion tonight in the skies above Midtown Manhattan. The action started near Oscorp’s headquarters on the Avenue of the Americas around 10:30 this evening, with a confrontation between two figures that have both laid claim to the mantle of Green Goblin, one the partner of the Scarlet Witch and the other the man who’s left a swathe of destruction through this city through the years.

From there, reports get hazy, as bystanders were attacked in the midst of the fray, though there are conflicting reports as to which of the Goblins was behind the action. Midway through the fight, the Scarlet Witch and her partner appear to have fled, though their whereabouts have not been confirmed.

Reports are still coming in, but what we do know is that Spider-Man and the Scarlet Witch both entered the action as well. We have video of the costumed crimefighter Spider-Man delivering a restrained Goblin into custody at roughly 11:30 this evening. NYPD Officials have confirmed the arrest, but have not released any further details. The vigilante declined to comment, and The Avengers have not responded to our inquiries for further information, but as we get more on this breaking story, further updates will be made.

New Partner for Scarlet Witch?

Goodbye Spidey! It seems the Avengers own Scarlet Witch has taken up with a new crimefighting partner. It's uncertain if this is a temporary alliance or not. Details are still coming in. However we have it coming in from social media sources that the young Avenger was seen around thirty minutes ago up at the Bronx's own Museum of Art. From our source: "I don't know. All I know is that I was tucking my kids into bed and I heard a hell of a ruckus. Explosions and fighting. By the time I made it down to the corner, the Cops were hauling about five of these guys into custody. And the Scarlet Witch, you know? The one with the cape? She was seen standing by with some fella ridin' something looked an awful lot like the Goblin Glider. And me? I'd know, I saw it about five years back during some mess downtown. No thanks. Not for me."

It seems that despite her questionable behaviour with Spiderman has not dissuaded Thor from spending time with his wandering mistress. 

The thundering avenger and his mystery woman  were spotted in Brooklyn Bridge Park earlier today, getting cozy and playing with the dog that is often spotted with them.

It seems that she is sporting a colour scheme favoured by a certain trickster god. Does this say more about her or Thor?

Update On Spider-Man and #ThorsMistress

After some angry comments from Spider-Stans, we would like to apologize for mispelling Spider-Man as Spiderman. Getting the moniker of your celeb of choice is very important to us.

As photographs are given to us it has become clear that during the entire encounter, our mystery mistress was decked out in leggings and a hoodie from Marvel’s new product line, boldly featuring the cartoon version of her man. Talk about heartless!

Spiderman Spotted Making a Move On Thor’s Woman

And we don’t mean Jane Foster! 

Earlier this evening after receiving an anonymous insider tip, our journalists spotted Thor’s yet-to-be-identified mystery mistress waiting in Astoria Park for her man. And who was to arrive, but Queens’ own webslinger! Greeted with a kiss, the masked vigilante brought a gift of what appeared to be a fully loaded dirty water dog. It seems like our girl has a New Yorker’s appetite after all!

The couple took a long stroll down the East River, deep in conversation, until they lost our photographers in the greenery. Once found again, they appeared to be completing a deal of some kind, complete with handshakes, before they parted ways.

Many questions are left unanswered. Who is this woman? Why is she being unloyal to Thor? Where does Spiderman come in? Is she some sort of superhero escort? Why didn’t Spidey give the poor girl a lift home?

Former Military Hospital Burns

De Veers Military Hospital, decommissioned in 1970, located in Strawtown, Ohio exploded today. Initial reports state it might have been a gas leak, but until the blaze is under control we wont know for certain.

In possibly related news, there were multiple reports of a man who matched the description of The Winter Soldier, James Buchanan Barnes, formerly Captain America’s plucky sidekick. He was spotted in Strawtown early this morning as well as shortly after the explosion at De Veers Military Hospital.

Whether he is connected to the events that happened today remains to be seen. If you see the Winter Soldier consider him armed and dangerous. Do not approach him and contact your local police.

Loki Spotted, Still Causing Trouble

After a long silence from the infamous trickster God Loki, photos began to flood twitter earlier as he showed his face in an upscale club in New York early this morning. Loki was reportedly making a, for once, relatively harmless nuisance of himself and was initially mistaken for a busker or actor hired by the club. A disagreement turned into a scuffle between a drunk and allegedly mutant man. One bystander says that the god was taking insults in good fun until the Avengers were mentioned. One witness said "I think he brought up Thor so I don't really blame him for swinging," While another claimed "Loki was obviously looking for a fight, he walked right up to the guy." A Thunder God's Secret Affair!

It looks like our very own thunder god and Avenger is not as pure as we've been led to believe! After some speculation that his romance with globe-trotting astrophysicist Jane Foster is on the fizzle, Thor Odinson was caught earlier today getting close and personal with a mystery woman! The pair were very cozy with each other as they walked their golden retriever down Park Avenue, not far from Thor's lavish home in Avengers Tower.

The tall brunette wore a simple black top with leggings styled up with red-accented kicks, her elegant style leading some to believe that she is no stranger to modeling. She has not been identified at this time.

Heroes Light the Skyline

Two courageous young upstarts took the goblin head on, sources say. Around 10:45 PM, last night two young supers, one clad in a scarlet cape as the Witch of previous years. We could very well be seeing new incarnations of those old supers, a passing of the torch from Spidey to Scarlet and Quicksilver!

The goblin fled the scene, but it’s good to know our citizens have someone looking out for them.
