All right! Getting some Spain in there! Whoo!
I seriously would have drawn the two together on the hammock, but… Alas, I was too lazy and it just came out like this… ;u;
Please spare my pitiful soul for I know not of what I am doing.

What Can Happen In a Second | 1:642
Everything happens in a second. Things take months, weeks, years to learn or to prepare for. But things? Real, honest to goodness things? Man, those ALL happen in a second.
You’ve been hanging out with her for weeks. You’ve been thinking about kissing her for an hour. You’ve been leaning in for what seems like minutes and must be TOTALLY uncool. But the kiss? There was a second where that kiss happened.
The game winning hail mary pass was caught in a second.
It took your mom one second to say “I do” to your dad.
There was a second where you made your first sound, where you first started to cry.
Seconds are incredible things. But most seconds have to be earned. Those months, weeks, years? All prerequisites for different types of seconds. But here’s the trick. Those years are made of months. Those months are made of weeks. Those weeks are made of days. Those days are made of hours. Those hours are made of minutes. And those minutes are made of seconds. 60 each! Think about all of the incredible things that happen in a second, and you get 60 a minute. So start earning your big second.
The second where you sign the first copy of your book starts with the second where you first put pen to paper. That second becomes two, those two become 20 and before you know it you have the weight of hundreds of millions of seconds backing you up. So pick your second and get to work.

Due to popular demand (and let’s be real, for fun) I’m going to start posting some pages from this book. This is the first page from 642 Things to Draw. “A rolling pin” and “a hammock”
Page three in 642 Things To Draw. A sandwich. Vegan of course.
A houseplant is dying. Tell it why it needs to live.
This morning, I was woken up the shaky breaths of my houseplant, Gary. Immediately running to it’s side, I cried, “No, Gary, you can’t die, I love you!” “Jordan,” it murmured, “You must understand. My time is up.” Panic ran through me. I refuse to believe this is happening. With a desperate tone, I told it, “No! You have so much to live for! Your family, your friends, the people you provide oxygen to! Think of -” “Stop. This has to happen.” Gary interrupted me. “Goodbye.” And with a final shake of its leaves, it was gone.

Saw a fun prompt posted by @chroniclebooks and thought, what if there was a dream machine that bridged the gap between fantasy and reality? (This hasn’t been invented yet, has it?) #642Things #dreams #illustration #nowpublishingdreams
