@m0vienight is a nerdy movie club to those hungry for watching, sharing and discussing good cinema.

Each week a different volunteer curator will present a selection of two very special films from which a democratic vote will determine the screening. In our imagination, we then sit in a circle and discuss the movie high on incense, popcorn and life. We will then elect the following session’s curator.

We had an amazing time participating in last weekend’s Greenpoint Open Studios. So many people visited our space and the rest of the artists working in our building at 67 West Street.

The event made me feel nostalgic for the last proper GOS which was four years ago. GOS 2010 coincided with the very first weekend we were open and officially alive: the culmination of 3 months of a 24/7 build out of the walls that form our studio and gallery spaces.  

It is amazing to remember how different the building was back then when we were one of only four active spaces that occupied in the entire 7 floors of the building. Nathan documented 67 West as it was in 2010 when I first found and fell in love with the space. Enjoy.
