Summary:

Hook doesn’t know how he gets from the ring to backstage, or from the arena to his hotel room. But he’s hunched over the toilet in the adjoining bathroom, bile still dripping from his lips when awareness hits him like a Superman Punch to the temple. It’s fifteen after 10— show’s over, and Hook knows this because his phone is vibrating on the tile next to his right knee with a third missed call from Taz. The absolute last thing he wants to do right now is speak to his father, especially when he’s already hearing the man’s voice ringing between his ears like a bad case of tinnitus. What does he even want to say? What could he say? ‘I’m sorry?’ Even if Hook wanted to hear an apology, which he doesn’t, would it change anything? Would either of them feel any better?
