Meet the 79s Friendly Colorful Staff!
Since things are going a little slow with everyone off on missions, we decided it would be nice to introduce you to some of our staff here at 79s and connect with our customers! To start off, 79s was opened up around the time of the clone wars by our amazing owner Tom. With his connections in both the Senate and the Jedi Council, he was able to help get clones the right to kick back, relax, and enjoy some of the nightlife Coruscant has to offer (in approved establishments like yours truly!) Here we go!
Tom the owner, as stated before, is a lifelong Coruscant citizen. He grew up in a middle class family and had a wife and 3 kids-two sons and a daughter- that live in different parts of the galaxy. But he has amazing relationships with each of them. When he was younger, Tom was a professional ice skater along with his wife. When he retired, he took the time to teach other aspiring skaters in a school run by him and Millie. A lot of kids from Upper Level families attended his classes, thus creating his connections throughout Coruscant on the influence level. Once his wife died, he lost his passion for skating and closed up the school. During a dark time in his life, the clone wars started and seeing those young clones one day just standing outside their barracks with nothing to do sparked something in Tom. He talked to his many friends, got together, and helped give clones their right to just cut loose and relax every now and then. They are people too afterall. He opened up 79s and sees evey one of those young men that walk through his door as a part of the family. Tom never judges anyone and would give you the shirt off your back if you needed it. You can usually find him behind the bar, cigar in hand, and ready to give you the advice you need or to just talk (because sometimes thats all you need is a conversation)
Dally, jokingly referred to as Upper Management by her coworkers, is the responsible one of the two girls. Her parents were highly irresponsible and bad with money and one day she came home and the two of them were just gone. Chances are, they were taken away and dealt with and guessing she would never see them again, Dally set off on her own. Life in the underworld of Coruscant isn’t pleasant and she had to do many illegal things to survive, she found a positive outlet through individual learning and in her free time you could find her curled up in an alley somewhere reading. One day, after a job went south, she hightailed it to the higher levels where she wouldn’t be found and wandered until she saw a “ help wanted” sign outside of a homely looking bar. She went in and instantly Tom gave her the job, realizing that tired and hopeless look in her eyes was the same he had not too long ago. She was slow at first, butting heads with the other new waitress, but they eventually bonded over their love for the troopers coming through the door and became family. In the early days of 79s being open, many people would come in just to cause trouble because of their negative feelings toward the clones. A few broken windows, some damages to the outside, and Tom was ready to give up. Thats when Dally introduced them to the wookie friends she had. 79s has been the safest place on the planet for the clone since.A tired fourth year colloeg student, she still manages to power through her days and keep the bar running when Tom is busy. Dally is the connection at 79s for all of their (and your) supply needs. Whether it be for protection, safe passage, or food, she can hook you up with the right people and get you taken care of, for the right price.
Lenani is everyones typical loud mouthed best friend and younger sister. Coming from a place like Ryloth, she immediately immersed herself in the city life of Coruscant, getting to know a bunch of people through the clubs and entertainment scenes. She left behind her mom and dad and a herd of siblings that she likes to send money to when given the extra funds. A woman of many talents, Lenani didn’t want to be like the other twi’lek girls she knew in the city, dancing away their dignity and pride and hanging on guys for the attention and to be taken care of. She wanted to be independent and strong. She came to 79s on a wim and Fell in love with the patrons and Tom from the start. Her bubbly personality and vocalization about her feelings was the pull 79s needed to get the business going. She has amazing relationships with some of the regular troopers and sees them all as older brothers to be messed with. Lenani is well known for being the one who has all the information you need on a person or upcoming event, and she is almost NEVER wrong. If you have any questions about someone or want to partake in any underground betting, then she is the one you go to!
Meet Rotta! A Zabrak with an attitude, Rotta has spent his life in the lowest levels of Coruscant. Rumor has it, he was raised by the Hive Rats that stalk the sewers of Coruscant! He may look rough around the edges, but this guy is an amazing cook! He can make an entire feast from almost nothing! You get really creative when your only options are sludge and starving to death. Stop on by and get to know this guy! He would be happy to share any recipes or meal suggestions! Him and his creepy little friend Vaahto and the rest of 79s can’t wait to see you this weekend!
There are 4 wookies we rotate out on security around here. Frochit (proud champion), Snokerriova (curious tall seeker), geyynik (fat jester), and Grozorral (Golden treasure). Frochit and Snokerriova are almost inseperable. When they have spare time they like to spar, work on weapons, eat, and explore the lower levels. Geyynik is a little prankster. He doesn’t do any harm but they can get out of hand sometimes. And you want to be out of the way when he angers the other wookies in the group. Grozorral is our little gem, he is a treasure thats for sure. Looks all tough, and thats you need around here 79s to scare away the troublemakers. But really a gentle hearted guy.
