Getting your Website Seen by Search Engines
If you offer a service or a brand that people are searching for on Google, does your website show up on page 1, or page 100?
If your website shows up a lot later than you would like, then you will be pleased to know you can change it. And it’s simpler than you would think. In fact, it’s only three simple steps.
Step 1: Keywords Fancy graphics, low prices, and decades of experience are great and all in the eyes of the consumers, but not in the eyes of the search engines. These search engines, like Google or Bing, rank websites in the search criteria based on certain keywords.
For example, if someone were to search for realtors on Google, Google would look through websites and website URLs for keywords related to realtors, such as “realtor,” “house,” or “for sale,” then present its findings, all in a whopping 0.66 seconds. Websites with the word “Realtor” in the URL would appear first, followed by sites that had the word in the text of the page.
For your business or service, you want your website to include keywords that describe your brand. But don’t get ahead of yourself; search engines are smart. If you over-stuff your website with keywords, they will recognize a lack of actual content, and will set you further down the list. The key here is balance.
NOTE: Search engines cannot read text in images. If your website is primarily image-based and you want them to recognize those keywords, you will need to use ALT tags.
Step 2: Submission Once your website is ready, you’ll need to submit it to the search engines. They will ask for your URL, and send out “crawlers” to see if you have the right ratio of keywords/non-keywords in your pages, and will adjust your website’s keyword ranking accordingly.
But what exactly is the right ratio? For that, you need to have your website viewed by a professional. The business consultants at Tungsten can be that professional. Depending on the size of your website, we can help you rewrite your pages to become search-engine friendly.
Step 3: Attracting an Audience Getting your website on the first page of search results is a big accomplishment, but don’t stop there. After all, the searcher still have ten different options to choose from. What makes your website stand out from the nine others? Here is where keywords and context come into play.
On Google, you only get two lines of text to show how much value your website has. Most search engines are good about showing relevant information in those two lines; usually, it’s a sentence or two that includes the word or words in the search criteria.
Those two lines can come from just about any part of your website. Because you have such a small amount of control over it, every line under your URL must have value for the reader. Tungsten can help with that too. With our help, your website can be clicked on every time it appears.
More than 80% of internet traffic goes through search engines. That’s tens of thousands of potential customers every day. Let us help you take advantage of that flow, and show them what your wonderful website can do for them. For more please visit Darryl Hicks Tungsten

"After her very first scenes with me, people was always asking if we were together and for some reasons we decided to keep it in secret. But now, almost six years later, and the truth came out, everything is more easier and I question myself why we took so long to let everbody knowing about. However, i couldn’t be happier. My wife is my partner in the show and I’m really liking this thing of being a father (laughs)"
