Fairy Wonder || Licorice and Lumina
Fairies were a common sight around the Botanical Garden. Especially with the Fairy Migration and Refuge. Because they were becoming more and more common, more people began approaching them, sometimes in a positive way and other times not so much. There were now multiple signs saying that if someone needed help to only ask the employed fairies wearing uniformed garden aprons instead of going up to any and all fairies. And to keep all communication civil.
Licorice did enjoy going out to watch the fairies and patrons of the gardens interact though. More often than not, it was positive and kids loved speaking with them. Young adults as well. Today was one of those days she wandered the gardens, just enjoying the general view.
Lumina always thought Forget-me-not Valley was magical but Arcadia was making her realize that there were more ways than one for that to be true. Her recent visit to the Botanical Garden was becoming especially illuminating. Fairies flew past her in their dizzying glow of colors and lit up the darkening sky and it reminded her so much of home that swore she could almost smell the toyflowers that grew by the goddess pond.
Feeling a touch of adventure in her boots, Lumina had decided to wander aimlessly through the park and had not so much as glanced at a map which she was beginning to realize was a bit of a mistake. The garden was bigger than she thought it and it felt like she had been walking in circles. But of course not, right? Of course the flowers would look like, they probably housed plants of the same type in their respective plots. Panic had not struck her yet but a tempting worry that she would find herself lost in the lupines and the lilies made her nervous. Bashfully, she looked at the fairies whizzing by and attempted to call the attention of one but perhaps her voice wasn't loud enough.
"Oh! Hello, thank you for stopping I was just wondering...."
Finally she managed to draw the attention of one of the fairies in a charming uniform but now that she had her captive audience she realized she had more worries than just navigation.
"Um. So like did you fly here? Like from another place? Well I mean it has to be another place if you're... Not from here. I mean - I don't know! I didn't know that fairies - I mean, I didn't honestly believe that kind stranger who recommended that I come here because it was, quote, Magical. I thought he meant it was just like, nice? But - it is nice but!" Breathing in deeply she offered a nervous laugh and was just about to abruptly walk away when she saw a woman, as in a human, approach her. Frozen now in place she glanced helplessly between the fairy and the stranger.
